Hi Guys, This is for all you techies out there... I noticed that along the way, in this forum some people like Static, Jayant etc had developed some serious software utilities... But, somewhere along the line most of got dropped after the beta version or so..... So, whats the probs...? Are the rest of us not giving enough support and encouragement to the creators...? Jayant's CDMA Detect could connect to lg2030 and detect values from the memory...... I expected that utility to improve and replace bitPIM in course of time..... but, i have not heard of it for a long time now... everyone seems to be very satisified with changing ringtones and wallpapers..... So, were Static's Ringtone and Wallpaper utilities.... they were too good.. but, we couldnt see any more releases of the same.... Of course, I understand that all these are very busy people who have their work/academics to do.... But, all the same if they would somehow take time out to develop more on those lines.... Its just a opinion....

Hello Everyone. I just registered to this group and this is my first posting. Its nice to know we have a group for Reliance Users. Honestly, I was getting fed up with the half-truths and nonsense I get to hear frmo the reliance web world executives when I approach them with my problems. I dont blame them though. They themselves have no clear idea of what they are dealing with. Now, coming to the point. I recently relocated from Kerala to Kolkata. I got my phone transfered to Kolkata. I use an LG 2030. Yesterday, I walked into the nearest Reliance Webworld and filed in a request for transfer. By evening I got an sms asking me to dial *488 and then *228 to activate my new number. I did so. Then I was asked to switch off my cell and switch it on again. Now, hears where the trouble started. When I switched it on. It was in the LOCKED mode by default. I have been using the LOCK mode for over a year now. I have been using the default lock code of '0000'. Now, when I try to unlock it with 0000. I get the message - Incorrect Code. I have not changed the lock code. I guess it got messed up when the connection frm transdered. Now, I called up customer service on this issue. They are asking me to visit the LG service centre to get it corrected. Now, My problem is that I am new to Kolkata. I dont know the places, I dont know the language. Now, If anyone of you have faced the problem and have readymade solution for the same. That would save me a lot of trouble. Can anyone help me please........ -Uday.

Guys... you should try using Netcaptor with IE. I have been using Netcaptor for more than 5 yrs now... try it out.... www.netcaptor.com

hi all, I am unable to get uniCDMA to connect to my 2030. Jayant's CDMA_Detect does connect successully.... But, My purpose is to read the lock code. When I try it with uniCDMA, i see the message - phone not connected. I am using a USB cable. Can anyone help? _Uday

Has this something to do with the ads that seem to have recently popped up on the top...?:? Anyway... Good move.... Atleast we can be sure of not closing down due to lack of budgets...

Hi Guys, I have been experimenting with using my lg2030 without the antenna for around 2 weeks now. I just removed the antenna and stored it safe and have been using the phone without antenna. I find that the range reception is normal. If so, why has the antenna been provided and is there any probs if we use the phone sans the antenna?

Hi All, Not sure whether this is the right place to be asking the question.... .... I created a logo of our company and uploaded it into my LG2030 using BITPIM.... Now, my colleagues want the same logo into their phones as well. Only that they are using GSM phones - Nokia. Is there any way I can send them this logo so that they can set it in their phones? I remember a long time ago there was a website,that allowed you to upload custom made images and then the site sends an sms to your phone. Then you can save the image as your logo.... Is something like this available still? Or is there any better solution? Anybody?

i tried that.... but, there seems to be some probs there...when i clcked on the link -'create ur own logo'.... it shows a tomcat error page.... Funny....I thought people didnt use tomcat for serious portals at deployment environment...

Hi All, I am having a new probs. All these days, I have been using r-connect without probs. I have been using the BitPIM for ringtones/wallpapers. But recently, one fine morning this whole hing stopped working. I mean the system is not detecting the USB port anymore. I know this is not problem with LG2030, its rather a windows issue. I tried re-installing the drivers. Since this problem, the LG installation is also not detecting the USB port. So, in short, I am not able to connect to the PC..... ..... has anyone faced similar probs ever....?

In this topic, we missed out Mahidhar's mention of Amber color. Now, I see the Amber color light blinking continously. Why does it happen? Also, what does that color stand for..? Any ideas? Any body?

Hey...!!!! There seems to be loads of this thing running around... Can somebody tell me if each software does different things or is it just different clones for the same purpose...? Static, You have a point there. However, it would be very helpful if we have a downloads section in the site. This request has been raised many a times on this board. I understand that the mods/admins would have a valid reason for not doing this. But, if the reason can be shared with us, probably all of us can help do something about this.....If we can consolidate all the phone related software to one section of the site, it wil also help us drive traffic to our site more. Its a suggestion. .... The mods/admins may edit this post if theres any probs....

How different is this from uniCDMA..? Also, can somebody provide a username/ pass for this....? Do i really have to signup into indiatimes for this? Dont tell me...... Hey jacob74, You will find this usefull only in areas where connectivity is poor and the calls get lost mid way. I guess.... It has never happened to me so far. So, I have never seen my phone redialling automatically..... Neither do I wish to see it...

yeah.. if you start now probably they will start getting the idea by the time LG moves this model to their Museum collection... Seriously, I think you should aproach them as long as you are under the warranty period.
