Niket I checked that the file U sent has the midi modfied (Did U use a hex editor or Ur phone permits to do that ??) I was looking for the draft.db files one with a local pic & NOT midi (one taken from ur camera) so that it can throw some light on linking local files. Best Regards

The image header file contains entry bm@8 meaning 8 bits but we dunno how to modify it to correspond to higher one if Ur info is correct. I had tried higher value but then the imge won't display at all.

Hi abishekkalro U can get MMS from someone and set the pic as wallpaper and test that. If U want me to do so I can do (if U wish to gimme Ur No). My 7130 can store 10 wallpapers I think. Also U can see if the images are accessible from bitpim so that U can upload Ur own using data cable (if U have a datacable).

U have it at R-World: R-World -> New Arrivals -> All about 93 (First confirm that they have given this option to other RIM users in Ur area). If U still can't see it then: Reset R-Menu 5 times. Switch off the phone. Remove and replace the battery. Restart the phone. Reset R-Menu 5 times. Restart the phone. Now goto R-World. Hope it works!!!

Clear memory "may" erase the Favorites items U stored in R-World. I used may coz the behavoiur is inconsistent atleast on my 7130. And just as tanveer mentioned the cleaning up is limited to the R-World cache (temp files).

The FindAfriend app has been moved to Messaging Menu and it seems to work on my 7130.

U can try softwares like uniCDMA; dunno if it works with Gtran.

I think the 6 digit code is MSL (master security lock) code and will there fore vary from handset to handset. I don't think we can discuss here how to obtain that ...

Nice work vishal but as expected there is no ringtone directory And it's doubtful if the phone supports custom ringtones. Considering the fact that the directory tree is otherwise similar to LG mobiles U can try creating a directory with files similar to them. Create directory called: locsound Upload files : mhlsnd1 mhlsndh1 (get these from some RIM LG user) But note that there are a lot of hurdles: 1.$USER_DIRS will not have the entry for locsound directory. 2. We even don't know if there is support in the phone for recognizing these custom stuff. 3. You may even screw up ur phone by doing above (So try at your on risk)

If U overwrite then the name won't change coz according to the screenshot U posted (on the prev page of this post) the name of the melody is contained in the file name itself. So U need to delete the original audio file and replace with a new one with the required name in the end - to change the file name too. But as usual we don't know how the device behaves on deletion of a given file (may even crash permanently) or nothing may happen. However some one with a handset under warranty and want to test can try it out. BTW what version of bipim did U use? And please post any other details as chirag already requested.

It seems R-Connect will disconnect after a period (a few min as one guy told me unofficially). As per the help manual FAQ of R_Connect package it says that if the mobile gets off due to low battery etc then the connection ends automatically.

As I tried in a set of my friend sometime back it doesn't seem to be there. May be U can try contacting LG people so that U can get it (hopefully) in a future s/w upgrade??
