MasterMind - I fear U R using WinXP. If so then it has a problem with unsigned driver(USB) installation. U can try system restore as the first resort and then trying to remove all the left out traces of the old driver from the registry after Uninstalling and as a last resort reinstalling XP.

Approx 1 month back R-World ppl introduced a Instant Chat app and a Moving Pic App under Messaging Menu. R-World wasn't working on my phone then. Does any one have that as a Favorite menu item still? I heard the apps are still running but not available under the R-World Menus.

Some one with a little familiarity with programming can use a resource editor and convert alteast the major navigation items to English.

Bitpim works on RD 7130 and so does (I heard) on 7230). Please note that U can use only the file system tab.

Well it might (and only might) be due to need for providing space for tags like *Urgent* *Emergency* and also for some details in case of MMS executing SMSes etc. But I don't know why it needs 20!

I am begining to think that in certain regions/zones they have deactivated. E.g. Bangalore (I think Dhananjay too tried from Bangalore). Also when I search for possible hidden R-World apps using a series of urls added to Favorite items, I see that there are a lot of links that gives this error. Either the error message is nonsense or R-World people are developing Utilities for paid members only which is currently under private testing.

You can get the serial data cable from webworld (costly but original) or U can try to get from Bazee or other reliance users who may be willing to sell coz they upgraded their handsets to color. Check this topic for more info : R-Connect

If U have problems with the checking of new messages then report it to the Customer support and I'm sure they will fix it. Since GTRAN is a relatively Newer phone with some different requirements than LG's R-World ppl may not have done extensive testing with it.

Dunno bout GTRAN but it is quite possible that s/w upgrade can help if they have some fix for any such problem in the Newer version* OR even if it's not if there is some s/w corruption in your phone. *E.g with LG color phones newer s/w gives a better network.

Possibly then there is a corruption or something in the message database file leading to the counter not being reset after deleting a message. On your own U can try a few things: 1.Delete both inbox and outbox (not individual message deletion). 2.Restart the phone ... and see if the problem recurs. If it still recurs then goto LG Service center for further Help like S/w Upgrade/Reburn.

May be U have already done it - if not try restarting Ur mobile and then connecting.

Hi all U can send mms'mail to any Reliance phone number in the following format: 0xxxxxxxx@rmms.ricmail.com thru the mms client at R-World without giving away Ur phone number!! I tested it and recieved a MMS instantly from 9800000000. Enjoy (before RIM ppl read this post and disable it )!! Disclaimer: Use this info at your own risk!! Nope there is no such a thing feasible as replacing with our own custom browser(as on your desktop) AFAIK. If the current version doesn't allow then we should wait and hope that it is Updated by R-World/jataayu ppl in future.

Dude Sorry for being technical. 1.U need not search anywhere for the Jataayu Browser client. It is already within Ur handset and it is the one U R using to "Surf" in R-World. 2. Ur phone can store up to 20 images for wallpapers (I think) and within the phone's file system they have unique names like image1,image2 and corresponding headers. When U save a wallpaper from R-World the Java applet at R-World will automatically check which of these 20 positions are empty and will place the image there and set it as current wall paper. If none of them are empty U will be asked to overwrite one of them OR cancel. All these things happen automatically behind the scenes when U press the save button. Now coming back to our wap page image of which we are viewing the link on the minibrowser(Jataayu) of Ur mobile. My doubt is who is gonna coordiante the steps I mentioned in the previous paragraph that leads to saving of the image. The minibrowser should do - If it doesn't have that facility then U can't save any images thru it. Sorry for being long but hope it clarifies Ur doubt a little .

I think the reason they did this was because this is the first time they publicised the E-mail option (though we were using it unofficially before) and so to the user they display a friendly name (I mean phone number). Also if they allowed the domain to be displayed that would invite unnecessary questions to their customer care as to not being able to reply to those MMS'n mails. However if U see the complete headers U can still see: 0xxxxxxxx@rmms.ricmail.com and the MMS indeed comes from rmms.ricmail.com as I have confirmed. It is just that they have locked the domain from internet (may be till R-World/MMS goes paid :'( ).

ajitanand many of the prblem U mentioned are present in LG color sets too (not B/W). E.g: Poor Signal,dropped calls,buggy SMS,Complicated phone book which is slow in execution,Unlinked Recent Voice Call list and SMS menu, Low intentisty of Ringtones, Battery hungriness, Wrong caller name display, too delicate to carry in rough conditions so on. So to say Gtran may not be as bad as U R thinkig now __ once U get used to it - U will be more conmfortable. As for the network prob - gtran_rocks and others can help U find if Ur set is the one with the prob. However G-Tran may have many positives for the given price.

tanveer it must be for every set but since the features are set dependant __ I dunno if they have put a Gtran link too. Check it out !! Theoretically U can if desperate - though I haven't tried. Now Ur gonna hate me for what I am telling next but: U can edit the #D#R#A#F#T.db with a hex editor and place Ur custom ringtone in it and reupload it to the phone and send the MMS.
