I have tried 16, 24 and all (earlier) with corresponding resolution images. I couldn't get any of them to be displayed. Looks like some memory restrictions have been imposed (assuming that the datasheet mentions 24 bit correctly).
-
Nope _ it does happen once a while without any Reset/Clear memory. U can keep a back up of Ur favourites on Ur computer to prevent losing valuable links. Save the F#a#v#o#r#i#t#e#s.db (I don't have bitpim here to confirm the file name) file from the ams directory in file system view of Bitpim frequently.

Yeah - and I think there is no point now in continuing this discussion further.

Yeah - I think it should be acceptable. Even if the user deletes all his/her topics without replies _ such one will be too few to cause significant harm.
-
Say a user Starts a Topic and lots of useful discussion takes place. Now one fine(bad) day he/she gets emotional abusive or something and deletes all the topics started by him/her causing disaster to the forum - Got it Another bulletin board software called PHPBB has an option whereby deletion by user is allowed only if no replies have been made to it. Hope I made it clear

atleast my 7130 suffers the same. Only when u press the next button is my name(for example) displayed from the db store. This "feature" I suppose is due the need for making the T9 compatable with diff R-World applets programmed differently.
-
Nope - it appears to be same as for mobile.

So as I always felt the new tariff is no better to a low-medium end user* when it comes to the amount he pays at the end of the month as compared to prepaid user. * The lower call rates as compared to prepaid will start proving slightly "economical" only for users making a large number of calls esp STD. Did I get it right ?? BTW Help Desk ppl told that there is going to be nothing like Loyalty bonus scheme (one told that the idea has been scrapped). One guy even questioned me why shud loyal users ever get something like that for being so - It's the duty of everyone to be loyal. Very Interesting __ I am begining to think that these ppl have replied off the hat(or was it the weekend effect?) since each one said different things.

Very Interesting can't wait to know the keyword BTW when did they start that OR was I completely ignorant ???

How to do it(possibly) in RD 7130/7230 ====================================== 1.Save a Draft message from Ur phone thru R-World. 2.Open the file system in bitpim. 3.Find out which of the folders under ams directory contains the mms client. 4.Download the #D#R#A#F#T.db fle on to your desktop. 5.Open it with a hex Editor. 6.Select the Portion starting form MThnd to FF2F00 (hex) i.e the midi file enclosed there. 7.Create a midi file with the exact size (most painful step) in PSM player. 8.Open the midi in the hex Editor (another tab or another instance). 9.Replace the contents just highlighted(selected) in Step 6 with the contents of Step 8 midi file. 10.Save the modified #D#R#A#F#T.db file in the hex editor. 11.Upload the #D#R#A#F#T.db file back to the phone (using PSM player). Connect to R-World-> MMS. Select Send MMS select the draft message. If all goes well U should hear Ur favorite midi file. Send the MMS EDIT: Found a serious flaw in this. The midi sent will be from the url in the draft file. I dunno how to make the link instead point to a local file. Some one with RD 7230 can help here either by analyzing the #D#R#A#F#T.db containing a camera picture or posting such a file here for others to analyze. Help

-
Yeah even I need to know. File Name and format of the image is it a gif???

Just one interesting thing. I called up Help Desk and 3 ppl "confirmed" to me that these new plans have absolutely no free talk time and the amnt we pay is simply the plan charges. what's this I am always bad at this "Plans" stuff
-
Dunno if IPB supports that but on PHPBB I used to allow user to delete his own Topic if a reply has not already been made.

We never know if it is like R-Connect coz the mechanism of handshake appears similar. I think most of U have noticed on 7130/7230 that when ever U end a session by holding down the END key the phone dials again before diconnecting. So the charges I guess are for the Entire session including the Dormancy period. To compound the problem many of us might have already noted that most of the time the Menu is loaded from the cache without connecting and if we don't access any nocached content and then press END the phone will not dial. Somewhat like viewing the cached webpages on Ur Desktop with autodial enabled. Hope reliance makes things clear

Thanks for the draft.db file. I will study it. I remember to have successfully added my own custom MIDI and Pic and then opened it in the mms client. I used the MIDI and pic with exact same size as original (not even 1 bit longer or shorter) and it works*. But when I send it to some on the original one (not one I upped) is sent due the link pointing to the R-World file. *It means the byte offset of Midi and png is stored some where in the header __ I am yet to find out where exactly. If we find out then we can prolly write a draft mms editor to add new midi/png using a GUI on our desktop and then upp it. Lemme work on the local link stuff first

Use Bitpim version 0.62. It works well with USB port too.

Hi I was trying to change the "Emergency Numbers" that can be dialed whn the phone is locked in RD 7130. It is located in the folder in nvm subdirectory inside nvm directory. However I got the following error trying to overwrite the file with Bitpim An unexpected exception has occurred. Please see the help for details on what to do. Traceback (most recent call last): File "gui.pyo", line 197, in run File "gui.pyo", line 138, in __call__ File "gui.pyo", line 1060, in writefile File "com_lgvx4400.pyo", line 660, in writefile File "com_lgvx4400.pyo", line 889, in sendbrewcommand File "com_lgvx4400.pyo", line 929, in _sendbrewcommand BrewCommandException: Brew Error 0x04 Are these files write protected ? If so is it possible to unprotect them ? Thanks in advance.

Works fine here in Bangalore but for the Greetings App. Check with others in Ur area. Help Desk ppl mostly tell the same thing as usual.

what is loyalty bonus??
-
They haven't even added checking for the best page size based on users screen resloution.

I know __ I wanted that the pic be taken from the camera of the LG phone and NOT be picked from the R-World Gallery. By studying such a draft.db file one can get an idea how this local file is linked. Now what niket has done is adding a custom midi file in place of the one from R-World - This works only on Ur h/s. When u mms it the recipient will instead get the mid that was originaly contained as the link still points there. Hope I clarified it.

I think that would be nice as each time mst of us - dialup users log on we have a diff IP.
