Illegal ILD Traffic - Infocomm penalty case
Jacob replied to city02's topic in Reliance Communications
Well, I have good experience in using Reliance's International Calling card from USA. I have purchased this card on net (relianceindiacall.com). It was the cheapest call available from USA to India and my fiancee used to call me using this card from USA. Initially the call quality was very good (just like getting a local call). the number displayed while receiving this call were different reliance landline numbers from across india (most of the time mumbai numbers). We used this facility for a while till the call quality gone worst. If you visit relianceindiacall.com, they mentioned this as direct home country calling plan, which TDSAT and all other regulatory authorities have failed to agree with. Well Re-liers!! -
:'( :'( chiraggg, it is very trueee!! after reading this topic here, yesterday nite i rang cc to find out more about the service, there reply was the same, have u heard me calling 'em?
-
Well, well, to retrieve voice messages you need to pay local call charges. As your balance is zero, no wonder why you cannot retrieve messages. Pls recharge your account and try to retrieve.... :'( Oh yeah you can divert calls to voice mail as diversion is FREE!!

This is another scam from the bill collectors appointed by reliance, they whisk your actual bill before it comes to you and call you to find out whether you paid your bill or not, if not, simply sit back at home and relax, the guy from the collector comes to you with your bill and take payment from you... well it is good if that goes into this way. for me, I am not getting my bills since last 4+ months (after this bill collectors came into action), before there was no problem for more than 1 year. Now it has become pain in **s because they dont send me bill in time, nor they come to collect bill before due date so that reliance can simply add Rs25/- into your next bill for late payment. Thanks god, I have surrendered all my 3 mobile connections well in advance and went back to GSM. The only one relation I have with reliance now is with my FWP. If this going to continue, I am seriously thinking about switching my service provider for basic service too

Hi Guys, Does anyone tried to swap your handset between your friends n family? Like I want to swap my LG handset with one Samsung handset withing my family and to retain my number on the swaped handset! is it really possible? Anyway, I spoke to customer care ppl and they said it is possible and both the parties should be personally present at the webworld. But before takeing the "customer misleading executives" i want to make it sure here that any one have such expereince?
-
just break into peices and throw into dustbin!!
-
Well finally I found they will not do swaping of handset. I also faced a set back when they refused to convert my postpaid to prepaid as they will not do so for the connections made after 1st April, 2004. So I decided not to pay further bills atleast as I brought my handset under outright puchase. Probably this will be my last posting in RIMWEB community as a "RIM Member". Sorry guys, reliance s u c k s!

Hi Guys, Have anyone tried auto-redial funtion? how does it work? I tried on my RD2130 and when the dialed number is engaged/not reachable etc. the auto-redial function was suppose to work, but nothing happened.
-
I have tried *388 few days back and it was working fine. but i think as of now they put that service on test basis only as no number change heard of so far at least in Delhi.
-
Hi Mastermind, Finally it worked man, but as u said it works only when the call failed due to no/poor network coverage. I too found its not useful option.
-
Hi SKLM Thank you very much for breaking the silence finally! Would you please tell me if this is possible to RD2130 also?
-
I wish if that could happen in real to my phone......
-
sklm, where are you? we are egaerly waiting for you reply to know whou damn you made it possible to convert FWP to RD2030! Is it cloning man???

Reliance India call has been introduced in early 2004. My cousin used this service to call me here. Initially the service was much better as the voice was crystal clear. You will feel that you attending a local call. but later the service is got blur as other calling cards, voice not clear, almost everytime it is broken up and my cousin give up using the service. But costwise it is the cheapest (Rs.5.50/- approx. per minute) service available in US as of today. Ofcourse Reliance India Call is useful only to make call to India. No where else as other calling card available in US.

Hey munna you right, in delhi they converting any model with any software version to another WLL service. formalities are same as you said but cost is anywhere between Rs.250/- to 750/- (depending on location you approach). I have seen it personally so now i believe this. Also i have seen cloning of N191 No software or nothing required to do that. Well as you said dont ask me how! lol Moderators may edit the text of this posting if u desire so!

hahahah good that it doesnt go to field test mode man, i accidently rebuild my EPROM by field test and i had to take the phone to service centre and they had to wait 3 days to get the technical ifnormation from reliance to feed in the phone again So pls dont do test/programming even if you got the "codes" for it unless untill you have the complete technical backup!

Well i Guess as a responsible citizen we are bound to pay tax. You have a lot other issues to sue them within the DAPO scheme. Like they says 400 minutes free? they charging Rs.160 for usage (40p*400min=160) How can they its "free" when they charging you every month for that? morever they dont carry forward the unused minutes after a quarter which is itself a case of cheating as they dont have any right to laps the minutes for which you already paid. After they launched the DAPO scheme their tarriff structure changed within DAPO scheme due to change in policy change by Govt. of India. In that case it was the respobsibility of Reliance to bound those additional charges to the DAPO customers. Instead they made us to pay additional charges (i.e. 600 monthly charges + 60p p/m for landline calls + 80p p/m for GSM calls). Thus an average DAPO customer had to pay around Rs.1000 amonth which is really horrible for a common man! Only those who were sms maniacs where benefited from the DAPO scheme!

RIM directory service is allover a failure. They have stoped services to paging services (in delhi) form the number starting with "96" and their own company BSES helpline number is 9604------- in delhi and now we are not able to make complaint to them. but BSES have reliance numbers so that the RIM customers can reach them through that number but RIM directory does not show BSES numbers. whats the use of such a directory service? and moreover you can delist yourself from your handset and if all of the RIM users do that then whats the use of this damn service?

Well, i have tried that *444 thingy with Samsung N191 and its working fine there. But with RD2130 (software upgraded) its not working and instead i received a sms saying your handset model does not support this application.
-
Well guys I think you have been misled by Reliance people. It charge you even when the phone is in dormancy stage. Its wise to shift to Silver / Golden plan as it has fixed R connect charges. My first bill for R connect was around 1800 rupees while i used 4+ hrs a day for a month (weekdays only inlcuding dormancy stage), and now i changed to Silver plan and waiting for the bill.
-
hi mates, bitpim has released their latest version 0.7.14, i am yet to test it as its still downloading, thanx to the highspeed service of R-Connect (its almost 40 mins now, still 50% left hahaha ) heres the link http://optusnet.dl.sourceforge.net/sourcef....7.14-setup.exe if anyone tested it on RD2130, pls share the experience here.

On 15th of July, all Samsung handset phone users of RIM in Delhi were messed up as their sets quit working from 7pm to midnight. LG users were not having any problem at all. Customer care ppl confirmed there was a network failure in Delhi, but did not reveal why only Samsung users were affected, weireddddd
-
not bit sush, its damn dead slow!! i have rd2030 and 2130, while comparing i learn that 2030 is alomost 40-50% faster than 2130! RD2130 really ***ks (well moderators i placed *** myself before you do! hahaha

Rakesh if you facing this problem for more than 3 days now, i suggest you to take the handset to the LG service centre again and talk to the service engineer directly about this problem. he will help you defenitely either by reburning r-world application again for by doing a "complete board swap". I also request you to check the signal strength at your area. it is not necessary that even if the phone shows full signal, actually it may be least signal strength. All the best buddy!
-
May god Help you Rakesh! Hotguy, this is not a solution for rakesh's problem at all. He must reburn his r-world application and phone software from authorised LG service Centre! Resetting R World menu will not clear cache memory. It will only remove saved contents, for clearing cache memory you must reset it within Rworld->more services->Tools->clear memory!
