Suggest Between Orange Monte Carlo, San Fransisco, San Fransisico 2
MOBILE FAN replied to MOBILE FAN's topic in Handset Suggestions
San Fransico II is on Gingerbread. 800 MHz processor but internal RAM is only 512MB. It is available here : http://shop.orange.co.uk/mobile-phones/san-francisco-II-from-orange-in-black for 110 GBP. San Fransisco is on 2.1 so that is not an option now. -

I need to buy an LCD for my parents in Ahmedabad. The 30" Samsung CRT is for sell. The budget is around 35k. Plz. suggest good LCDs in the 32" and 42" segment. Ideally, I am against buying an LCD because of not enough channels with HD content and skewed viewing experience while watching 3:4 content on 16:9. I am still using Sony CRT at Pune. However, it seems that recently the TV companies have stopped manufacturing CRTs. So to be future-proof, I am going for LCD. Dish TV is already present and once we have the HD, we would decide for HD set-top box too. I know there are many enlightened ppl in this forum who can help me in this buying decision. So Plz. help.

How to make Parallel Connection from one Set-Top-Box to 2 TVs?
MOBILE FAN replied to MOBILE FAN's topic in General Technical Discussion
^^^^ Saket, I am having TS HD DVR and need to implement the above solution. However, I would probably need 40 mtrs. long wire to copy the censor. I am just afraid that if I do that, it would probably draw more power from the motherboard and then I am risking the current circuit. It may blow up the original unit. Any comment ? -
Reliance Communications Launches India’s First CDMA Tablet
MOBILE FAN replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Communications
Just 6 Paisa Per MB! So even if your additional usage is let's say 1 GB more, You'll pay only Rs 61 Extra!!! (1024MB x 6 Paisa / 100 ) Is my maths correct or there is an asterik hidden somewhere? Rajanbhai, this is regular plan - My Best Plan. It works in slabs. Yes, you pay Rs 61 extra but before you reach to that slab you already have reached Rs. 650 + taxes = Rs. 716.30 The plan is available at http://www.rcom.co.i...et.html#tariffP To calculate the bill for any usage, here is the calculator. Just enter your usage in terms of MBs in cell B3 MyBestPlan Calculator.xls -
MNP after Change-Of-Ownership?
MOBILE FAN replied to MOBILE FAN's topic in Mobile Number Portability (MNP)
Yesterday, Sent SMS to reliance for port-out. They did not send UPC. When called CC, they give the UPC verbally. Now, I am going to initiate MNP tomorrow. I hope the verbal code will not be a problem during the process. -

MNP after Change-Of-Ownership?
MOBILE FAN replied to MOBILE FAN's topic in Mobile Number Portability (MNP)
That statement simply means that while going for MNP, there should not be any PENDING request of change of ownership. However, my question is different - I want to MNP once the change-of-ownership is accomplished (ie. not pending). And once the change-of-ownership is done, for MNP, will the clock start from date of change-of-ownership or Reliance would consider the number from its start (more than 3 years) ? -
MNP after Change-Of-Ownership?
MOBILE FAN replied to MOBILE FAN's topic in Mobile Number Portability (MNP)
Willl it be possible to go for MNP first to Idea and then change of ownership ? if that is possible, my would port to Idea with any available plan and once on Idea, we would move to change-of-ownership within Idea and then for plan change to corporate. -
is this a dual standby or world phone ?

I tried. There is no effect. It doesnt help in anyway, waste of labour in cutting the can.
-
Excellent ! Will try as soon as I empty a can.
