As per my yesterday's call to CC, they informed me that Rs. 299 unlimited plan is free of NUC. The other plans do have NUC. However, he termed NUC as NCC (Network Consumption Charge). If that it true, the way forward is Rs. 299 plan only - atleast till the time cheaper plan is not available.

I am new on BB. Recently I got BB8330. Along with it I got a CD. When I insert the CD, it shows two links : 1. Install Blackberry Desktop software, 2. Get the latest version from Web. When I select 1st option, it opens installshield wizard showing Blackberry Desktop Software 4.5. When I select 2nd option, it opens this page. There, the latest version of Blackberry Desktop Software is v6.0 and the lowest is v4.6 Now, I am confused. I have read on this forum that going on higher version, also upgrades the OS. I dont want to do that. Can you guys plz. tell me, whether I can go for the latest v6.0 of Blackberry Desktop Software or I should install from the CD which is V4.5. Please note that the phone is showing OS 4.2.

I am still having doubt that this would really happen. How can the praja gets this when the RAJA is seating there ?

I recently got BB8330. Trying some Apps. In couple of applications it gives the following error: "The <application> has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy". This happens even on ngpay for irctc. And also on pushme. I have set all the options to "Allow" in the permission of the application. The error keep coming every 3/4 minutes even after exiting the application. The only way to remove the error is to remove the application. This is really irritating. Any expert help ?

I have gone through the forum and came to know that data cable and PC Sync software is available for LG RD3600. PC Sync can also be downloaded from lgmobiles.com for 3600. But 3610 is not listed on it. I need the data cable and PC Sync software for 3610. 3610 has Micro USB charging pin. Please let me know from where can I get the data cable and what would be the approx. price. Also, can I use the PC Sync software of 3600 for 3610 ?

Well... forget to update on this. It was two of the three USB ports which were culprit for that. Those ports are still malfunctioning. Everytime I have to go to device manager, uninstall the modem and then rescan. It worked fine after that.

Now its not working for me. I had Lenovo T61 with XP, when I was successful. Now I have Lenovo R400 with XP only. I did the same process but I constantly get "USB Device Not Recognized" Bitpim is also not recognizing the phone. I need to get E S N. But if this will not work how I will do it ?

I have gone through many posts on RGSM but couldn't find anything about R2R. I have a question : The current schemes which are available to RCDMA customers, for example, unlimited R2R local call (Rs. 195 STV - prepaid) or My Unlimited (including STD) (Rs. 440 Postpaid), will they cover RGSM as part of R2R ? To be more specific, can My Unlimited Customer call a RGSM customer for free ? Since the CDMA series is 93 and GSM series is 90, I doubt that they treat both as the same network. But still, if they allow, RCDMA customers will reap the benefits.

I have an Amex card too but that is because of the company I work for and it is billed to my company. I never thought to mention that as reference in the application. I would do that in future. I want to have the Kotak card for the privileges it provides for movie etc. This is not in visa signature card.

However I feel that the followings are the shortcomings: - Difficult to move number to OMH - Difficult to enable evdo data plan - No opera mini - No horizontal browsing - No support for 3rd part Apps - No Java Also I am not clear, what are the options for data plans for prepaid and postpaid customers.

In Pune, the service sometimes good sometimes bad and sometimes worst. Many a times you will not be able to connect the call or will be "Not Reachable" to your caller. At times it works flawlessly and you can talk for a stretch of 1 hr. I use it as an additional SIM. But one cannot depend on RGSM in Pune. In pune, for GSM, the best service (not tariff) is from Vodafone and Idea - and in that order.

Kotak has refused my application for Trump card. No reason given for it. They simply say that one of the criteria was not matched. This is amazing. Because my credit history is excellent. Recently HDFC has upgraded me from platinum to Visa Signature. Still Kotak refused my application.

Doesnt seem to be a CDMA phone

A long back I created a google voice account. I used IPKall number there and it worked fine. Now the number has become unverified. I guess, because of the 30 days inactivity on IPKall the number got invalid. So I created a new account on IPKall. But now, when I am saving the newly created IPKall number on google voice, it doesnt allow me to save. It gives error - "+1425xxxxxx8 : This number is already being used on two other Google Voice accounts. Forwarding numbers cannot be shared across m" - the remaining message gets cut and not viewable. I tried canceling the IPKall account and recreating new numbers but every time I had the same error. So, I am not able to use IPKall on Google Voice. However, I am still able to make calls by setting Google Chat in the phone setting. But when Google Chat is set as default, I am not able to receive the call. When somebody calls me on my Google Voice number, I get a ring on Gmail (If gmail is open). When I press the Accept button it says, press 1 to accept and press to 2 voicemail. But I dont understand where to press those buttons. Any help on IPKall-Google Voice problem and how to receive the call on Google Voice ?

Hi KoolPal, If your cable is correct one and in working condition, you mobile at-least should recharge. If it is not recharging you should use the cable which is listed in the above posts. And if it is recharging then your phone should sync with the software. However, many times I also get the problem and the problems gets solved when you restart the mobile when the cable is connected with PC. Let me know, if you still have any problem.

I am already having RCDMA unlimited-440 Plan. My wife is using RCDMA prepaid. But somehow I am attracted to the current euphoria of 1p/sec theme. I dont want to discontinue any of my existing plans. But thinking of buying a new prepaid GSM sim for 1p/sec. Docomo is already there in Pune, though availability was an issue and I dont know if the issue is still there or not. Aircel has launched the same plan with a cap of 10k sec on STD. Airtel and Vodafone has similar plans but they are not comparable to the other two players. Can anybody tell me which one, Aircel or Docomo, has a better coverage in Pune and what is your suggestion on this ?

I was talking about recharging Reliance mobile. Yes, giftmate is an option. But for them we have to pay minimum Rs. 250, the balance will remain with them. I found a new site, mobikwik.com. But they charge Re. 1 for every recharge. Ultimately I used, icicibank's site for the recharge.
