I think for a new entrant in already saturated market this price is a dampner. There are players available at even half the prices. These players are not of prestigious brands but has lance of good brands. Ppl use such DVD players with use & throw mentality. I think Moserbaer need to aggressively price this product.

The question now arises - will this ppl continue offering such tariff or they will increase once they get enough penetration ?

The thread title gives hope that in future we can get lower tariff for STD. The need of the hour is to break 1 Re. barrier for STD. Its time to go below that. Most of the operators still charge Rs. 1.50. In some cases with some schemes/tariff cards you can lower the STD rate but effectively it is still high. I am hopeful that the new entrants will fuel the competition in this area also and thus there is a ray of hope. But I still I dont understand one thing. TRAI is looking forward to MNP as it is the norm in other developed countries. But TRAI is convieninetly not lloking at the fact that the developed countries dont have any concept like STD. The whole country is one country and hence local. Why nobody is raising this issue to abolish the concept of STD ? Idealy, as in UK, USA, you can have only two things - local and long distance (international calling - ISD). But till the time Raja awakes, praja only can hope for lower STD tariff.

It gave me different speed in the different part of the city. At Jahangir Hospital it gave me between 1.1 to 1.8 Gbps. But at Lullanagar it gave me 100 to 400 kbps and in worst condition it gives 44kbps to 80kbps but that is very rare.

I used HCC to transfer the number from SIM to Non-SIM Kyocera 7135. However I could not use HCC to transfer the number to the old SIM from Non-SIM. I gave many complaints for that but ultimately I had to buy a new blank SIM and then I transferred the number using the same HCC card.

Switching can be done without redeeming and repurchasing. Though infrastructure funds are diversified to some extent, I would still suggest you to go for fully diversified fund. Reliance Infrstructure fund just had its NFO. So, it doesnt have any history to compare the performance. If I have to do a choice between these two, I would go with ICICI Infra.

Ideally one should invest in fully diversified funds. You may invest in specialised fund when you already have enough investment in diversified funds. Both of your funds are not fully diversified funds. I would suggest you to redeem both now. But if you want to keep one for now, then keep Power Sector fund. It would be better you redeem the Media and Entertainment now and switch from Power Sector to Reliance Growth Fund which is a fully diversified fund and its performance is also good.

Any modification would be welcome only after the network is in health,right now network is suffering fron anaemia. I am not going to spend even a penny on gsm now. Can anybody tell me, where to find the RSN number on my old Kyocera 7135 ? On the back side, under the battery, the ESN number is available but I cannot find the RSN Number.

I recharged with Rs. 35 on 9-Mar. I am getting 50 minutes STD. The scheme is continuing and not yet stopped.

v80i, which is with FM is available at Rs. 3800. v80 doesnt have FM and is a bit cheaper.

So if this high is the promotional price, only God will tell what would be the real price for the unlimited plan which is not so unlimited !

I would like to contest this view. The BSNL service is reliable, it doesnt drop the connection ever. It allows truly unlimited use. The speed depends on the area in which you are. The only problem with it is that the speed varies. But I have downloaded many movies using it. For regular surfing you never feel that the speed is slow. BSNL is planning to make the service roaming also. So looking at the huge price difference, I would anyday prefer BSNL to R-EVDO.

Is there anyway to do e-recharge on RGSM ? I tried once with ICICI (Rs. 35 for STD) but in never got recharged and I got it back after 3 days. Has anybody tried with other banks/oxicash/rechargeItNow ? Nobody has done it so far ? Till 15 Mar ?

In the initial phase when the service is starting and when the users are less generally the service is good. However the real test begins when there are 1000 + users hook on the same tower. Its premature to compare R-EVDO to BSNL-EVDO. But I would still say the price difference is huge and a very important decision pointer.
