  1. ChoRcom serves shocker bill

Reliance is chorcom! I am on 4G_1299 plan where 4Gb data is allocated. My billing date ends on 26th. I received a message on 26th that 90% of data is consumed, after that I switched off mobile data. But when I received my bill, I was shocked beyond disbelief! They have sent me a bill of upward 2500 Rs. for consuming extra of 5 GB. Now what to do?
  2. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

I am a Delhi postpaid subscriber, currently in Patna, Bihar. My phone latched onto LTE in Delhi last month at fag end, then I travelled here. Does anyone have any update about network status in Patna, Bihar? I don't get network at all most of the times, and rest times its latched onto Aircel 2G without data, or at times I have to manually register it to Reliance 3G, then data works, but automatically it goes back to Aircel 2g, or NO SERVICE. If I try to search manually I get forbidden Jio 4G! I want to know what are they going to do over here? When are they going to launch?
  3. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

My phone had latched onto 4G in Delhi on 27th June, and speedtest showed speed of around 20Mbps. Then I travelled to Patna. In Patna, condition is pathetic. RCOM had lost 1800 Mhz, and they have no 2G here. Most of the times I am unable to make any calls or access net. Network is absolutely absent during most part of the day, even though they have ICR agreement with Aircel here. Today while I was searching for network in my phone in Patna, I saw 405 03 live on 4G network, when I tried to choose that network it failed. AFAIK, 405 03 is Reliance 4G. I was carrying a Jio SIM with LYF phone, that is my only life saver here. Network is present everywhere, coverage is awesome. Speed fluctuates between 5/6 Mbps to 30-35Mbps, depending upon time and location.
  4. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

In Delhi circle on network search, I see Reliance 4G available besides Reliance 3g and 2g. When I select Reliance 4g, it shows registered on network, but after than network vanishes on phone and after a while latches on to 3g. Jio 4G is forbidden as of now. I think by Monday they will launch 4g.
  5. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

I have been using Reliance after porting it from TATA Indicom where I was a postpaid customer for 10 years. Reason being, they stopped their services in almost entire Bihar, entire J&K. And I roam a lot, travel a lot. And I needed a good connection worth TATA Indicom. Except for when they closed, Indicom was a thousand x better than RIM. If my cust care call had to wait for more than 1 minutes, I received a call back. If I complained about anything, and SLA used to be 24/72/36 hours and if it weren't resolved used to get discount in bills without asking. I used port out request, randomly, for the heck of it...and I got 200x6months discount on billing. I was a GOLD customer for them, don't know what that means, but had Credit limit of 14000. And my bill never went above 1k. My plan was of Rs. 399/- worth Rs. 300 free calling. 30p local, 50p std. TATA to TATA free. Incoming free. O/G used to be T-T free, otherwise 30/50p. SMS free. I really have deep respect and love for CDMA operators they forced the market to change. From a talktime of Rs. 90/- in Rs. 330 recharge per month validity, they had to change because Indicom had launched Rs. 300/- in Rs. 330/- per month with innovative per second billing. First in World. They changed the scenario. Then they launched incoming free way back in 2005-06, which COAI got stopped because of pressure from GSM operators like Airtel, Hutch! Before that RIM had launched MOnsoon Dhamaka...and DAPO which had changed the market! My salute to the pioneers of the market! I had opted for Airtel once for want of handset, when I realised what I go through.....I chose to make my Indicom no as primary one. It has stayed for so more than a decade now with CDMA. Previouslywith Indicom, since Oct with RCDMA. They are dying a death, because Ratan TATA and Mukesh Ambani personally couldn't do anything about it! If RCDMA were with Mukesh Bhai, it would have had been different. Launching a handset in 2002 with live video streaming was nothing more than a dream for Indian customers. Live news channels, everything. He subverted a few policies, but it was good for customers. He changed the market. Later on when it went with Anil, and indicom was given over....things changed for worse!
  6. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

I bought a LYF Phone for around 5k, and trust me its not worth it, if you talk about just phone. Its **** like the one I bought a few months back of LAVA of around 6k and sold it for 4k in 5 days. But if you see the services...they are charging you for services and giving you a **** phone for free. assume that! I have stopped using my broadband, could have stopped calling as well were it not for MNP not being transferred and RCOM plan being of 1299 with 50% discount, where everything is unlimited. I get speed of around 50Mbps, and least around 5. Average is above 25mbps in Delhi. I pay 999/- for 1 mbps plan which is erratic for 50% times. So this is a good worth, if you see that ways...and most importantly I travel a lot. A LOT. And I got 60Mbps in Patna Junction area, and on average around 20 Mbps in entire Patna. In Chennai, it averaged around 10. In Chandigarh I got 20. So that's it!
  7. Reliance CDMA Shutting down

Starting tomorrow they will be processing 4G SIM request for rest 4 states, as they have got approval from DoT. They have submitted the amount. So might be end of this month when you get 4G SIM activated, not sure about 4G services, though!
  8. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

It clearly says that it won't offer 4G to its GSM customers before commercial launch of Jio! They have been saying the same. 4g would only be offered to erstwhile CDMA customers, so we should get it by tomorrow I believe!
  9. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Yeah, I had two invites with me and expiry date was 20th May for both. Carried one mail and they did it without asking anything.
  10. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

My data is not working on postpaid.
  11. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Data is not working for me! Got frustrated, also because of MTNL poor broadband connection, went ahead and bought a JIO sim(ofcourse with LYF) and now getting 35-45Mbps speed. In connaught place it was giving me around 33. In Mayur Vihar 1 it is giving 25+. And MV-3, it was around 53Mbps. Using LYF FLAME 2 as wi-fi hotspot!
  12. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Ok my new sim started working. But network is intermittent. And it is latching on to 2G and not 3G.
  13. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE
