Its a good cheap quality phone that will do everything. If you want to go for ok kam chala lo type phone then you may buy it. ( some will say kya farak padta hai yaar sab ek jaise hi toh hote hain, others will swear by brands, so its subjective ) However LYF phones offer almost all the functions that you get in the big budget/brand phones. If you're into samsungs, lenovos, sony and iphones then you won't like it. Frankly their mandatory LYF phone buy is what has stopped me till now. I think Bihari Sarpanch here has bought a LYF phone with the same scheme. SO is it a good value for money ? I will say yes....b/w average to good value for money.

Btw for everyone/anyone interested, the JIO 90 days free data scheme sim ( mandatory purchase of LYF smartphone ) is now open to all without any employee referrals.

Nope, manually setting APN didn't help as well. Could be a hand set problem specific to Lenovo A6000 plus. Will try my 4G sim on another 4G handset.
-
Hmm didn't try that. Seems like a good idea to try out.
-
OK, so I put my new 4G sim in a 4G handset....Lenovo A6000 plus. The service worked but data didn't. ( tried everything, from manual selections to various configurations....nothing ) Service and data are working fine in all 3G handsets.
-
The point is - do you require it ?
-
Yeah. Mine is almost the same, will average it out to...2.5 to 3. Speed test varies from 2.5 to 5.5 ( which was measured just once ).
-
And my service has come back now. Didn't do anything. It was offline for a few hours and now back on. Proves all is not well with Reliance 4G.
-
Tried that, still shows the same thing....."Unable to connect to this network at this time, please try again later" Not registered there and I would require this "unable to connect" Reliance mobile number I think.
-
Anyone else from Delhi facing the same problem ?
-
My service is down........."selected network reliance is unavailable".
-
Delhi circle guys : What's the maximum speed you all are getting ?
-
I meant when the screen shuts off after the timeout and you open the screen again ?
-
Doesn't it show "Reliance 4G" when you close and open the screen ?
-
Seems like everyone in Delhi is getting H/H+. Thought I was getting H/H+ only because I was on a 3G handset and people with 4G handsets would get faster speeds.
-
An old sony ericsson xperia (3G only) handset.
-
Delhi circle and mine also shows 4/2016, but no data issues. Started working out of the box soon as I inserted the sim.
-
South Delhi here. Probably planning to start data phase wise as well I guess.
-
Nice. How did you get a JIO sim ? Reliance friend reference ?
-
Postpaid.
-
Really ? Then I guess they need some more time to give us real 4G.
-
Yes, data is working. Speed is H/H+. All apps connecting, whatsapp etc.
-
Forgot to add that most probably the speed is limited to H/H+ for me because right now I am NOT on a 4G/LTE phone. Using a 3G gsm.
-
Delhi circle. I didn't get any sms that cdma was being shut down. It just shut down all the while showing a full service signal but all calls and data showed my number as offline. Put in my 4G sim in a gsm handset. Working perfectly when it comes to calls and has latched onto Reliance 4G. However its not real 4G, am getting H or H+ which is more like enhanced 3G.

Do we need this if we have already registered our new sim with 1299 ?
