Reliance Jio Prime Offer
LTE4G replied to invisiblebond's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
The default plan validity is 28 days but you should get 84 days for the first recharge since you have not availed "Summer Surprise Offer". So after 15th April you can see the expiry date of your plan in the MyJio app. Yes! Summer Surprise is for 3 months = 90 days (actually 91 days) but the Dhan Dhana Dhan is valid for 84 days. So those who bought ₹303/- Plan & got Summer Surprise will enjoy Free services till 15th July + 28 days for ₹303/- recharge as well which means 91 + 28 days = 119 days total for ₹303/-, whereas Dhan Dhana Dhan subscribers will only get 84 days for ₹309/- (Still UNBEATABLE as compared to AVoID) -

LTE4G replied to invisiblebond's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
Yes ! but now recharging with ₹303/- will not fetch "Summer Surprise Offer" so those who were undecided whether to recharge or not can now at least settle for ₹99/- + ₹309/- = ₹408/- & get 1GB per day + unlimited calls + unlimited SMS + Complimentary Jio App subscription for 84 days which is still a BIG deal as compared to AVoID. This is Jio's Dhan Dhana Dhan bangs for AVoID. -

LTE4G replied to invisiblebond's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
So the way Airtel is given time till 11th April to remove or modify its "fastest network" ad - Jio also said that it will respect the advice of Trai but will take some time to withdraw ("as soon as operationally feasible, over the next few days.") may be by 15th April. -
TRAI orders Jio to stop offering free service
LTE4G replied to Notam's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
It is an advise and jio has clearly said that they "Jio accepts this decision. Jio is in the process of fully complying with the regulator's advice, and will be withdrawing the 3 months complimentary benefits of JIO SUMMER SURPRISE as soon as operationally feasible, over the next few days." So it depends on Jio when they will stop new subscriptions. Meanwhile all those who have already subscribed need not worry - they will be enjoying the Summer Surprise. -

I had recharged my wife's number with Prime & ₹149/- (3 times) in March. Yesterday I recharged again for ₹303/- and today got the same SMS confirmation which I received saying "Thank you for being a founding member of the Jio movement. Enjoy complimentary Jio service for 3 months with JIO SUMMER SURPRISE". I had already recharged my own number with ₹303/- (3 times) in March so I got the message thrice since 1st April without doing anything else. This post is for those who recharged with ₹149/- plan & are still in doubt regarding what will happen if they recharge ₹303/- now. All 4 recharges are queued under MyJio app in chronological order under my plan. -

LTE4G replied to invisiblebond's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
I am getting very good speed - the speed also depends on which site or server you are connected to, for example. If you are connected to specific site such as Yahoo, hdfc bank or Facebook and their servers are slow due to saturation at that particular movement then no matter how fast is Jio - you will not get speed. You can try downloading same file from different sites or mirrors and see the difference in speed. Anyway all free riders/bandwidth killers who just constantly watch YouTube, movies etc. will filter out after 15th April as they are not going to pay ₹99/- + ₹303/- for sure. They were just using Jio since it was totally Free. Further those who merely use prepaid connection for only few calls (50 - 80 calls per month) will also get dropped because they will not spend ₹99/- + ₹149/- or ₹303/- under any circumstance because they were the one who used to charge ₹200/- max in 6 months but were enjoying Jio's free ride till now. So as Jio network will get rid of these time pass users the network performance will improve by itself. Sincere users are not interested in free services but they look forward for a decent service at reasonable prices. As far as Internet bandwidth or traffic is concerned, Jio's traffic was already 25 times than the total traffic of other Indian operators in February when it had only 52 million people on board. Instead of Free jio could have offered discount on multiple Recharges done in advance. But that would not lure new users so the free thing... -

@KanagaDeepan You will enjoy Xtra 100Gb so need not worry & Mukesh Ambani has also assured further noticeable increase in performance within few weeks. -
Now it is time for dth operators to face the music if "Jio preview offer" & "Jio happy new year offer" etc. are introduced by Jio dth. Or may be extra discount for Jio Prime members.

Reliance Jio Prime Offer
LTE4G replied to invisiblebond's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
The main problem is that Jio is still not in a position to handle such big traffic and has planned to add 100000 new towers. Mark his words in the letter "Jio has created the world’s largest greenfield 4G LTE wireless broadband network, with over 100,000 mobile towers. And we will add another 100,000 towers to our network in the coming months. This greenfield investment – of over Rs 200,000 crores – is the largest anywhere in the world. We are acutely aware that we have small pockets of congestion on our network. With our investment in network expansion, you will see a dramatic improvement in service quality in the coming weeks." He has come up with "Summer Surprise" so that he can 1. Improve his network. 2. Hold back subscribers by way of FREE offer. (no one will leave the network even after facing congestion issues. 3. Bring the competitors to their knees. 4. Pull more users from other operators. 5. The way Jio is imposing ₹99/-, he may dictate terms in future after gaining monopoly in the Market. 6. While other operators are struggling for survival Jio is squeezing money from its users and investing in infrastructure upgrades. 7. We all obsessed by Jio have done not only ₹99/-, but also multiple recharges of ₹303/- or above to avail JioMoney ₹50/- Cashback. No matter how much we criticize Jio, we cannot deny the wholesome package which includes bundled apps & subscriptions provided by Jio is the best in the market at present. We thought that Jio has come to teach lesson to AVOID but now it's too much though Jio have its own reasons. Every thing is fair in love & war. (4G love & 4G war) -

LTE4G replied to invisiblebond's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
So Finally - Here comes the "Jio Prime" (₹99/-) blessing in disguise (Summer Surprise). I had already hinted in my earlier post here that Mr. Ambani will not stop just here. Full Detailed Speech of Mr. Mikesh Ambani Below -> Mukesh D. Ambani Chairman, Reliance Industries Dear Jio Family member, Last month, I announced a special membership program – JIO PRIME - for all Jio customers who signed up before 31st March. JIO PRIME offers many attractive benefits – the absolute best data tariffs in the industry, free voice calling, access to all Jio apps, and many more periodic surprises going forward. JIO PRIME members will always get the very best of what Jio has to offer. In just one month, over 72 MILLION (and still counting!) Jio customers have signed up for JIO PRIME. We, at Jio, are honoured and grateful for this tremendous response. I want to personally thank you for choosing Jio, and for being a founding member of the Jio movement. A movement to transform India. A movement to empower and enrich each one of you with the revolutionary power and possibilities of Digital Life. I assure you that Jio will always be obsessed with serving you and delighting you every day. Over the past few days, we have been deluged by millions of customers queuing up to purchase Jio’s popular Rs 303 and other tariff plans. This nationwide trend indicates that very many customers are still in the process of purchasing JIO PRIME and their first paid tariff plan. I am committed to WALKING THE EXTRA MILE for my Jio Family members. We have heard your voice, and we are EXTENDING the deadline for purchasing Jio’s Rs 303 (and other) plans till 15TH APRIL. This extension will provide the necessary breathing room for users to avoid service disruption during the transition from free to paid services. Customers who could not enrol for JIO PRIME by 31st March for whatever reason can still do so by paying Rs 99 along with their first purchase of Jio’s Rs 303 and other plans till 15th April. Jio’s free service period is COMING TO AN END. Users who do not recharge by the extended date of 15th April will experience degradation and/or discontinuation of services. But, I am conscious that this is the largest migration from free to paid services in history. We are committed to doing this gradually, so that both Jio and Jio customers have the time to adjust, fine tune and perfect this transition. I want to assure you that Jio will walk alongside you all through this transition to paid services. Dear friend, In India, we have the fine tradition of SHAGUN – offering gifts on auspicious occasions. For us, your first recharge is an auspicious moment. Therefore, we want to offer a token of our appreciation and gratitude to all JIO PRIME members… the JIO SUMMER SURPRISE. Every JIO PRIME member – when they make their first paid recharge prior to 15th April using Jio’s Rs 303 plan (or any higher value plan) – will get services for the INITIAL 3 MONTHS on a complimentary basis. Your paid tariff plan will be applied only in July, after the expiry of the complimentary service. This complimentary period will also help to familiarize Jio customers with Jio’s fully digital, self-service process of using the MyJio app to perform recharges and to set up digital payment methods for further purchases. The JIO SUMMER SURPRISE is the first of many surprises for our JIO PRIME members. Details of JIO SUMMER SURPRISE will be available on the Jio website (http://www.jio.com). I invite all Jio customers to take full advantage of the extended timeline, as well as the JIO SUMMER SURPRISE, and complete the purchase of Rs 303 (or higher) plan well before 15th April. All JIO PRIME customers who have already done their first recharge of Rs 303 (or higher) before 31st March will get the benefit of JIO SUMMER SURPRISE without any further action on their part. Dear family member, Jio has created the world’s largest greenfield 4G LTE wireless broadband network, with over 100,000 mobile towers. And we will add another 100,000 towers to our network in the coming months. This greenfield investment – of over Rs 200,000 crores – is the largest anywhere in the world. We are acutely aware that we have small pockets of congestion on our network. With our investment in network expansion, you will see a dramatic improvement in service quality in the coming weeks. Mobile Number Portability (MNP), which allows consumers to retain their existing mobile number when they switch to Jio, is available for all consumers. Lakhs of consumers have already used this facility. If you have not done so already, I invite you to do MNP and make Jio your permanent home. For International travellers, Jio’s International roaming service is now available across the world, with the best voice and data rates in the industry. Dear Jio Family member, I commit that Jio will always strive to provide you the highest quality – and the world’s most affordable – data and voice services. I thank you once again for choosing Jio and look forward to you enjoying Jio’s next-generation services to the fullest. For me, Jio is a mission to enable each one of you to live and experience Digital Life in all its destiny-reshaping possibilities. Jio provides opportunities for every Indian to prosper and live a better life. Isn’t it time for us, together, to strengthen the Jio Movement for creating a New India? Yes, it is! May you and your family members continue to live a beautiful Digital Life. God bless you, and God bless our beloved nation. With warm regards, Mukesh D. Ambani -

"Calls will be free for lifetime" - Only if you subscribe to any plan & will be free till that particular plan is active on your phone. Without any plan it will be chargeable as per base rate if you have talk time balance in your account. After taking Prime membership you are switched to Plan 149 by default and your membership will get activated only if you recharge with ₹149/- or higher voucher. So to avail unlimited Free voice calls some plan has to be active on your phone for outgoing calls. A SIM can receive incoming calls (only local & not while roaming I believe) for a maximum of 90 days after which it will be at the liberty of Jio to decide whether or not to terminate your connection as mentioned in their term no. 6 below. 6. OK! I may be wrong - because I got all coupons within few minutes but when I recharged ₹303/- (₹253/-) with redemption I didn't receive any coupon till next day. May be I could have waited more time to check before coming to the conclusion, but when I made another recharge of ₹149/- I got the coupon within few minutes again which made me think that. Are you sure? Is the Cashback coupon labeled voucher no. 2? As there is one more similar looking Jio Offer voucher. So the coupon is available for any recharge above ₹99/- even if Cashback redemption coupon is applied as you confirmed. Nice! So it means anyone can recharge consecutively while earning Cashback coupons and also redeeming them simultaneously. -

I got all my 5 Cashback coupons and also redeemed 3 of them against ₹303/- recharges. Please note that if you redeem a Cashback coupon against ₹303/- recharge (₹303 - ₹50 = ₹253) then you will not get a ₹50/- Cashback voucher against that particular transaction (reason it is mentioned in the terms that "successful eligible transactions will get the Cashback coupon"). So one has to recharge with ₹99/- & additional four recharges of either ₹149/- or ₹303/- without redeeming to get all 5 Cashback coupons which can be further redeemed against next five recharges as the maximum number of coupons per user is 5 only. I recharged 2 Prime membership of ₹99 (Me & My wife), three ₹149/- for my wife to get all the 5 Vouchers and redeemed three vouchers of ₹50/- against ₹303/- for myself paying only ₹253/- x 3 = ₹759/- for three months (28 x 3 = 84 days) subscription. Two coupons are still left which I will en-cash later in June. In other words Jio is giving additional discount as cash back of total ₹250 per user. So the total cost becomes ₹99 + ₹3939 (303 x 13) = ₹4038 - ₹250 = ₹3788 for the whole year (364 days) So the average cost becomes ₹3788 / 12 months = ₹315.66 per month - NOT BAD at all.364GB Data (additional 5 GB per month also with advance subscription) with Unlimited Calling + Roaming + additional App subscriptions of Jio Mag, Jio TV, Jio Cinema, Jio News Paper, Jio Security etc. as well as Wifi. I will be generating 5 more coupons from my wife's Jio money account - means additional ₹250/-. -

It should be Queued & shall come in to effect automatically on 29Apr2017 00.00hrs (Midnight of 28Apr2017). You will require a Booster-pack which will last till the remaining days of the prevailing plan (validity till the expiry of the current plan). Till date Jio has projected themselves differently compared to the regular prepaid module used by other companies wherein any prepaid recharge supercedes the existing plan/recharge. They have come up with queued recharges instead. They have introduced booster packs for prepaid users. Jio's prepaid Recharges give full 24 hrs cycle from the time of activation unlike other operators who forfeit plan at midnight irrespective of the time of activation. Jio will observe it's users usage behavior after the commercial services start from April & may come up with some more plan variants by June for non prime customers as well. -

Indian users : "Dil mange more" Jio : "Thoda bada socho" (to other networks) So finally Jio fulfilled it's promise of ₹50/- per GB data (3GB for ₹149/-). What else one can expect. Jio knows that there is a fixed maintenance cost for the infrastructure & the more users he can pull will help him to reduce the cost per user. If you remember when there were only landlines (Mtnl & Bsnl) and we use to only pay monthly rentals irrespective of the usage time (i.e. number of calls). So now Jio has brought back those days with unlimited calls including std calls & data as bonus for ₹149/- . -

I got it confirmed from customer care and was clearly told that you will get additional data with all Recharges, if done before 31st March. Servers are slow so wait and see what happens. You may raise a ticket if it doesn't appear. They are frequently updating apps, terms & offers too. Now it has been officially posted in the faq section of Jio website (under Jio prime - plan section). I have pasted the same below. Will I get Buy One Get One offer benefits on every recharge of 149 or above? Yes, if you have recharged Before 31st March, 2017 and you are a Jio Prime Member, you will get an automatic benefit of Buy One Get One offer on every recharge of Rs.149 or above. (i.e. Only applicable for Prepaid customers who are Jio Prime Members) Each add-on benefit is tagged to the recharge and will be applicable only when that recharge plan gets active. For example, if you recharge twice with the 303 plan before 31st March, 2017, the first 303 plan will be applicable from 1st April, 2017 to 28th April, 2017, during which you will get a free add-on pack of 5 GB. The next 303 plan will be applicable from 29th April, 2017 to 26th May, 2017 and during this period you will again get the benefit of the free add-on pack of 5 GB -

I have recharged ₹149/- for my wife and got ₹50/- Cashback voucher and she received SMS that it will start from 1st April (all Recharges will come in force from 1st April only) & it is mentioned in the SMS that additional data will get credited on 1st April as well. Reboot your phone and then check as it is being updated since yesterday night only. Was not showing before. Did you recharge ₹99/- Jio prime? Because it is showing in prime customer's app only. Further if you recharge several times same or different plan they will all get queued one after another in the order of recharge sequence. By doing multiple Recharges before 31st March you can avail the additional data benefits later with all those Recharges as well.
