Reliance JIO SIM Activation Related
LTE4G posted a topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
Reliance JIO SIM activation is taking quite some time now. I collected the token on 25th August 2016 from Reliance Digital (not mini). Submitted my documents and collected SIM (Prepaid) on 26th August 2016. Was told that it may take up to 10 days for the SIM to get activated. Finally received message from JIONET "Dear Customer, Thank you for choosing Jio. We have received your application for new connection. Your order number is ....... Thank you, Team Jio" on my alternate number on 1st September 2016 after midnight (i.e. 1:00 AM on 2nd Sept). Again received message from JIONET "Dear Customer, Due to overwhelming response to our Jio Preview Offer, there may be some delays in activating your connection. We will inform you via SMS once your Jio number 70XXXXXXXX is ready for televerification. Thank you, Team Jio" on my alternate number on 3rd Sept 2016 evening. Still waiting eagerly but with patience for next message. Tomorrow is 5th Sept and if my SIM gets activated tomorrow or later then it will be Welcome offer by default I think. UPDATE: (4rth September 2016) Viola! Activation Message Received just now on my alternate number that my number is ready for televerification.- 43 replies

Reliance JIO SIM Activation Related
LTE4G replied to LTE4G's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
Go to Simtool kit and select "Home IMSI" and see if it helps. OR Open browser and type www.jio.com - Jio site should open - login to your account and log out - and then the issue may get resolved in half an hour. (in some case unless you register for MyJio account either using MyJio app only intranet will work - means you can browse Jiosite only.)- 43 replies

I am able to use 4G data past 4GB cap limit per day
LTE4G replied to Vineet Reddy's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
The 4GB cap is per day and not per month. Day before yesterday I also received the sms saying that I have crossed 4GB limit and the speed will be capped to 128 Kbps - but I continued to enjoy full speed thereafter too. -
Did you enable "use VoLTE when available" from Dialler ->> More ->> Settings ->> VoLTE If so, then the phone is not fully unlocked and IMS is locked with the original carrier and will not get registered with any other Network.

These days most cloud service providers have started squeezing/reducing the free limit - even Microsoft has reduced its One Drive limit from 15GB to 5GB saying that by doing so they can improve the quality of service. Reference Links http://phandroid.com/2016/04/22/microsoft-onedrive-storage-reduction-july-27/ https://www.cnet.com/how-to/get-back-the-10gb-of-free-onedrive-storage-microsoft-is-taking-away/ http://www.computerworld.com/article/3060736/microsoft-windows/microsoft-gives-onedrive-users-until-july-to-shrink-their-storage.html How secure is my content on JioCloud? Any access to the data and content on JioCloud is security validated and protected. The data stored can only be retrieved by authorized system services. The transmission of content happens through a secure HTTPS channel and the entire environment is continuously monitored and audited for security controls. Additional interesting feature of JioCloud apart from contact sync and file sync (Backup): Text Message Synchronization :- How many of my text messages will sync to JioCloud? When you first sync your device with JioCloud, all text messages from the previous 90 days will get backed up to the cloud. From that time, all new text messages sent or received on your device will also get backed up to the JioCloud. When you switch to a new device, you can restore all your text messages that are saved to JioCloud to your new device. Notes:The first time you sync to JioCloud, it may take a long time, depending on how many text messages and how much other content you have to sync. The first sync should always be done over WiFi and with your device connected to a wall charger. When you delete a text or multimedia message from your phone, it will also be deleted from the Drive I bought a new phone. Can I restore files in my old phone to new phone? You can restore files backed up from your old phone to new phone by using 'Content restore' feature in tools section. If you have stored contents of multiple phones, you can select any of those phones and restore them to your new phone. You can read the terms Here http://self-service.jiodrive.com/jdocs/jdtandc.html " When you use the Services, you provide Reliance Jio with your Content including, text, audio and video files, email messages, photographs, contact lists, etc. All Content uploaded by you shall be either owned by you or by the respective third party owners, as the case may be. Reliance Jio shall not have any rights with respect to the Content uploaded by you except for the limited rights to use, access, and retain your Content in order to provide the Service to you and enforce the terms of the Agreement, and you give us all permissions we need to do so. These permissions include, for example, the rights to copy your Content for backup purposes, technically modify your Content to enable access in different formats, use information about your Content to organize them on your behalf, and access your Content to provide technical support. Reliance Jio respects your privacy and your Content is subject to the Privacy Policy." Privacy statement Here http://self-service.jiodrive.com/jdocs/jdprivacypolicy.html JioCloud is free and is not compulsory - so if anyone wants to use he can use it - Best part is you don't have to remember separate password to login.

LTE4G replied to praveenwarrier's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
"small cell site" - seems they will be installing some kind of Repeater to cover the ground floor level. This further proves that they are giving priority to LYF product customers on their network. -

LTE4G replied to Vineet Reddy's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
Everything is delayed in Jio whether it is Activation or Data capping - Till then Keep Downloading! -
It is not VoLTE which is a default feature of VoLTE enabled handset wherein calls work even when the data is switched off. It acts as a VoLTE emulator by handling the calls as SIP through normal data connection (just like Swipe & Whatsapp etc.) and will not work if your data is switched off. Ha ! LOL - Even if the signal strength is nil or the network is saturated.
-
How to enable VoLTE explained here http://www.androidcentral.com/how-enable-volte-galaxy-s7

Yes! you are right. Now 4G has become 2G and this may be the reason for Jio4GVoice app not to work - there might be a threshold for network speed/bandwidth for the app to get online.

Even though the sim seems activated - you have to follow instructions and complete tele-verification otherwise the SIM may stop working and things will get complicated thereafter. If you have not done tele-verification - then do it now by dialing 1800-890-1977 from your alternate number and punching last 4 digit of your Aadhaar number. LeEco Le 2 - Jio4GVoice will only work if the SIM is in the handset since it is a VoLTE phone (By default Jio4GVoice app searches for SIM if inside a VoLTE handset for configuration). And Jio4GVoice will not work for Voice & Video calls (By default it is disabled in VoLTE handset and one has to use native dialler for making Voice & Video calls). As far as Moto G (1st gen) - You can try the following settings in your handset: (Before attempting you should re-install Jio4GVoice app or Force stop and clear data.) Go to Settings >> Date & time >> Tick the Box next to Automatic date & time and Automatic time zone. Set location to ON and switch on GPS. (Reboot/Restart) If you are able to get Jio4GVoice, immediately dial 1977 and again complete tele-verification for voice. You could have tried putting your sim in your LeEco Le 2 VoLTE handset and dial 1977 to complete tele-verification for voice - But it may not work as mentioned in this post here http://www.rimweb.in/forums/topic/37840-jiofi2-mifi/?do=findComment&comment=331651

Visit the Reliance Store personally and request them to close/terminate the connection with immediate effect. They will try to lure you by offering some lucrative special plans or will promise to take up your matter also - But don't listen to them as there will be no outcome and you will get stuck for few more days and further adding to your outstanding amount. Once you confirm/insist - they will calculate the total amount pending as on that date and you will have to clear the payment immediately over the cash counter. Thereafter they will accept your request and within 72 Hours your account will close. You may also receive a confirmation call during this. Later you will receive one more Bill (Last) after the current Billing cycle, for some minor amount (₹ 3.00 - 10.00 etc.) which you should pay by visiting the Store again so that your account gets permanently closed finally. If you have recently purchased 4G WiPod (Reliance Locked) then you can either simply convert the connection to prepaid by following the same process as above and keep it as prepaid connection with minimum ₹20.00 as main balance with lifetime validity. Best of Luck!!
-
Be wise and close the connection immediately to avoid any further complications. @KanagaDeepan Absolutely Right ! I agree with you.

If you are really looking for solution then you can try the following... First of all you need to complete your Tele-verification for data by calling 1800-890-1977 from your alternate number because data starts working without doing tele-veification too but will not work fully. Already done ! Then proceed. Enable WiFi data and connect to JioFi. Uninstall and re-install Jio4GVoice. Configure Jio4GVoice using OTP and granting all permissions. If Yes - proceed. Now try dialing 1977. Doesn't Work ? 1) Open Jio4GVoice App. 2) Click on “:” icon on the top right of the app 3) Click on “Settings” 4) Now again click on “Settings” 5) Scroll down to the bottom and you will see option to enable or disable Jio4GVoice services. Simply disable it. 5) Wait for 10-20 seconds and enable it again. 6) That’s it. Your Jio4Gvoice app shall start working. Try dialing 1977. Doesn't work ? Disable all Mobile and WiFi data on the handset. If the handset is 4G then disable LTE and select 3G/2G as Preferred Mobile Network for internal SIM. While all data is OFF start Jio4GVoice. Now enable WiFi data to connect to JioFi. Wait for few seconds and then Dial 1977. It should work. (Sometimes although JioFi shows connected but net doesn't work - recycle JioFi Power and try again)

You did notice the changes in your last bill but did not took any corrective measure to change/upgrade your Plan from the options available/offered under 4G - so I think they will not consider anything and will insist you paying the bill. It is useless arguing what was your previous Plan (CDMA) because after upgrade you can only choose a Plan from the options offered to you by Rcom. Similarly Jio has also mentioned under Terms & Conditions that : There will be no increase in any tariff item (except ISD) till six months from the date of your enrolment to the plan. Thereafter,RJIL reserves the right to revise the terms & condition applicable to tariff plans. RJIL reserves the right to vary the penal charge rates periodically, as well as take recourse to any other action available and considered appropriate, subject to TRAI regulations. " Download Statement and you can see the terms clearly mentioned in it. Rcom is no exception - And upgrade does not mean a new or fresh connection, so they are at liberty to revise their tariff any time. Best option is to close the connection immediately otherwise Rcom will keep billing month by month and things will get worse if not better IMHO. Rest is up to you - I just shared what others have experienced in the past under such situation.

"Keep your fingers crossed" Rcom is known for unexpected Shocking Surprises.
