Definately CDMA device is InCompatible with WCDMA. I am Talking about an Pure New Network of WCDMA. and our old CDMA will not work at all. on that. But Old RAN, Passive RF Cable, RF Tower Definately supports. An Operator in New Zealand had done it. They have gone to WCDMA directly from CDMA without EVDO. And Appoaching the Customer if they want 3G they have to buy WCDMA Handset. and this is a Fact. EVDO is Definately the easiest Upgrade for 3G in world as it work on Native RF Unit with 1.25 or Multi 1.25 Channel.And All 1.25 Channel are also not required in Sequence. means You replace any CDMA 1x RTT Card and Just Push new EVDO card in it. and Yes the Tower is Ready. as EVDO can work in same Home Frequncy the Older 1x RTT works. Tower Realignment is not needed at all. WCDMA have Lesser Range InFact as Higher the Frequency Lower the Range. You know 92.7 Mhz Spectrum of of FM travels upto 70 km and WCDMA Spctrum can travel only. 6 Km. So every GSM operator must have realign, rearrange the Tower for Better Coverage. as TRAI Policy any Operator can not have 3G Spectrum more than 5 Mhz. and also they can not demand 3G Spectrum for two Different Technology. Unless they Agree to have (1.25 for EVDO and 3.75 for WCDMA). In Wolrd there are not equipment for WCDMA which can work on 3.75 Mhz. as WCDMA = Wideband CDMA and Require atleast 5Mhz for Upload and 5 Mhz for Download.

Uses Diego 3.06 or 3.09 and Connect the Phone using DKU-2 or CA-53 Cable and Go to Setting and there is Option for that. This can not be done using Phone Itself. So many FUnction get Disabled after Reflash. We must have to use Diego to alter so facilities.

Moving one PLayer Direclt in WCDMA and Tata will remain with EVDO is the general assumtion now a days.

RUIM and SIM Card in GSM is same Hardware not a single POint Difference is there. RUIM and SIM compliaes with ISO Standard, GSM and CDG Standards. ALL RUIM and SIM is a Secured Storage devices. Failing to Pass the Authentification on repetative time can make RUIM or SIM Unusable. All RUIM/SIM have Secured and Non Secured Storage Area. Non Secured Area stores Phone Book, SIM Books an some Users data. Secure Part stores SHA1, SHA2, A Key and other Authentication Related Informaton. All Secured INformation is Stored in Files in Secured Area. RUIM have RUIM ID which 56 Bit evalent to 32 Bit ESN, so is the case for IMIS in GSM. RUIM can as used as GSM As in GSM to use WAP we have to Program the System or Get Setting for That. Normally CDMA is Starndardised so to use net or QNC we dont have to do that. But to use Services like RWorld or Tata Zone we have to do that. RUIM can be safely Swapped between the Operator like Reliance of Tata. Non Tranveller can Switch the Handset within a Minute If the Phone Get Damaged, we can easily Swap it with new easily. If the Battery Drain our We can Borrow other CDMA RUIM Based Handset to Make Call Divert Active or to use another Phone Temporary. Normally RUIM handset still have to Programmed only for Specilised Services of Proxy based WAP Setting.

The Phone can be used by International SIM but only CDMA Sim can be Used. For GSM Roaming you have use the Reliance SIM in GSM Phones

WCDMA require altogether Different Spctrum than 800/900/1800/1900/ But EVDO can Work in 1.25 Mhz Slot along with older CDMA 1x So 5 1.25 CDMA Slot and one EVDO Slot with Sequential Allocation Works easier. So Later on Reliance can Replace older 1x RTT with EVDO and can make slower and Safer move to EVDO after Getting WCDMA in 2.1 Ghz. I have Strong Opinon that in First Phase Reliance will go for WCDMA rather than EVDO so even if GSM Spectrum is not alloted to Reliance. WCDMA can very well handle it Cross Technology Expansion Plan. Major 30 to 40 % New Shipment of Phone in GSM is WCDMA Compatible.
