I am starting this thread for little things that I want to know about, but was either too shy to ask or thought that asking it would make me look stupid. Some of them may be very basic and may be known to most except me. Let me give an example 1. What is the best way to sms a phone number/ contact in your phone book in windows mobile? I try doing it using the latest manila but the sms does not go. So I go to the contact, edit info, copy the number and paste it and sms it. I am sure there must be an easier way. Can someone tell? 2. Is there a way to use scroll wheel press on a laptop? I can scroll using the right strip but i can not click it. Clicking the scroll gives me the option to open a link in a new tab in firefox and so on. is there a way?

whenever I compose a mail using outlook on my windows phone and send it. It is always sent twice, the same message twice over. This has happened for almost as long as I have been using windows phones. Never bothered to ask before. Anyone else has encountered this?

I'd say its a personal decision of the giver. But I feel what is more important is that only those who genuinely require an item and are definitely going to use it, should ask for it; and not just hoard it as its being given as a freebee. The idea after all is to let things that are not being used by the original owner reach people who need the stuff. But I guess its not easy for the giver to verify the genuineness of the person asking.... You can never be sure of that.

Go to control panel network connections and right click on your network, properties, and go to TCPIP. There you can find/ edit the DNS there.

Maybe a network problem only. Started working after 4 hours again now. even 1x was not working. Though data was working on my phone.

Are you using mighty rom by the way? If that is the case, the above problem may be caused by the fact that mike (mighty) is from Canada and uses bell as the carrier, which allows 130 characters only. There is a cab on ppcgeeks called sms160 cab. Look for it and install it if you dont want to meddle with reg settings.
