You would not want to do that if you have a secure connection using either WEP or WPA. As long as you have a secure connection, you can leave the network on for the whole day.

I have netgear, going strong for 2 years. Dlink and cisco are great too.

The wifi router would usually have ethernet port.

Why dont you buy a wifi router? You cant have true portability with a netbook if you are going to have too many wires connected to it.

I am using 28014 on my diamond and it is the most stable 6.5.3 rom I have seen so far and in fact my favorite 6.5.x rom.

All the roms that I used including DCD 4.1.2 used to work with Destinator!
