lucky guy that you have so many options. are you in delhi or bombay? anyways here is my take. i have very rarely heard any complaint about airtel. though its not .available in my area i would love to try it once it is. the night top up thing is what i like about airtel. in delhi TATA is very infamous. it took them 25 days to tell me they can not give the service in my area. they take the check and even deposited it before ascertaining if it was available in my area. it took another month to refund my money. heard they have a pathetic cc too. check one of the threads here or go to mouthshut. my episode is a year old, they may have improved now. If in Mumbai MTNL would be best for you. they have an 849 plan with spwwds upto 2 mbps, monthly limit of 1gb and free data transfer between 12-to 8. assuming your average speed during night is only 1mbps, you will still download more in 8 hrs than u will on 256kbps in a day. saves electricity too. reliance no idea. prices are more or less the same. 50 rs here or there.

same here.never ercountered this however as i mentioned somewhere before, sometimes it does not detect my phone. and i read that this too is a common problem.

the above problem is solved. however this one always skipped and i never mentioned it. when i get sms delivery report for a reliance number, the number is displayed as something like 107........ thats min or somethimg. however the report from tata and gsm numbers is correct. is it with me alone? any fix?

i am presently on 3.5.4.c. i had restored the contacts using pim backup..somehow, the pictures associated with contacts were missing..now i can not add pictures to any contacts.when i click on picture nothing happens. any suggestions?

As mentioned I had a problem with the screen alignment thing. I downgraded to Kirvins 3.5 and then again back to Hetals, inexplicably, i never encountered it again. Now I am on 3.5.4c, occasionally the alignment goes haywire but it corrects when i realign through >>system >> screen>> alignment.

yes it does. One strange thing I noticed is that sometimes i recieve as long messages as single SMS but when I forward them, they are broken into parts.

I think it is with everyone. But as mentioned above use the shortcut in the comm tab of SPB desktop menu.

I feel the previous version was more stable. Have had to soft reset a few times as the phone is hanging with some programs.

@thundrbird1 what size is the dialer? you can upload it on say rapidshare.

i do have alignment issues at times. i had a major one once. all i did was reflash and it was solved. maybe you can try that as well.

I guess we havent thanked hetal enough for his contributions. He has done a terrific job cooking up rom after another and gets the new one ready even before we have fully enjoyed the previous one. keep up the wonderful work. waiting for the next one mate. Also I think Sadk, dheeraj, kshah have been wonderful troubleshooters especially for people like me who have very limited knowledge about such handhelds.
