@ abhay:had gone through them, requires tweaking a bit. I am no expert and dont want to mess with MTNL. I dont think they wiil be prompt and helpful if god forbid anything goes wrong

and how about sending an email that requires you to follow a link and then only is the account activated. Will that help?

Most of the posts are almost 2 years old after whcich ther ehas been a revolution in BB industry. I prefer using night unlimited plans. I have used: Sify 256kbps night and weekend unlimited - Rs. 561 pm Now using MTNL ADSL 256kbps 590UN - Rs. 590 pm

will wap work on such handsets? I mean we have at least two handsets that have minibrowsers (6255 and 6235) but it can not be used because it is not allowed by reliance. Now say if I get a RUIM enabled handset from abroad and then I am not able to use wap on it? What use will an imported handset be if I can not access net on it? Can someone clarify?

You can do it but that will be from amongst the default nokia phones only.for your own tones, you can set them for groups.

I did this just to see how many I could store. I did not delete any of the messages that came neither did I delete any of the delivery reports. and I forwarded all the jokes to all my friends. There were 2 messages in my archives and 1 in another folder. I was able to store a total of 130 messages when it started saying... No more space for new messages. I am not sure if presence of templates would affect but I have deleted them anyhow. 1. Which Color to buy? (Silver, Black or Silver-Black) You dont have a choice. I dont think black is available, so you wil have to have silver only. The grey silver looks good at least to me. 2. How much extra memory to buy? (512MB or 1GB - Is 1GB working smoothly?) I have just bought 1 GB card. cant tell you right now. but others have used 1 GB and are OK with it. 3. Is RUIM card coming with N6265 default package? If not then how can i get it? It is given along with the phone. 4. Any settings which can improve the performance and other utilities about the baby. You will know as and when you use this phone as to what suits you. 5. Any other tips u wud like to give. You are buying this phone on your own responsibilty. All that has been mentioned here on the forum is the individual experience and opinion of members. So take your time, get a first hand experience of this phone if possible, from a friend and then go for it.

I have been able to store upto 130 SMS by deleting the templates. I am not able to change the service provider s address in settings by pressing *3001#12345#. It shows a blank when I press Serrvice Provider s Name

There was thread on dial up networking for 6255,you can get all your answers there. Did you enter that commands in the advanced settings of the modem? Follow those steps,it should help.

Yeah I too was told that it was not launched and would not be launched. Anyways if you search, there is a Mod by the name of city02, he had written a long post about his experience with netway.

Thanks for your comments. Cant comment about SMS but the RUIM shows 250 free in my case. Maybe you are right about the RUIMs. You can enquire from WW or Nokia CC.

You can open the images.i dont think you will be able to open files not supported by this phone. Second all sites can be accessed. I am accessing rimweb through my phone only. Third. You can upload ringtones, images etc from your phone to pc and vice versa. Fourth. As of now there is no way to store sms on memory card.storing them on pc may be possible using opm. Will have to try it.
