I am using BT and DKU2, there are no problems. not used IR as I dont have the port I have not installed any drivers or the software that came along with the dongle. I havent made any changes to any settings except for adding a command in the advanced setting in the modem settings. Never faced any problem after the initial hitch. Now everything is working like a charm

You can not install jar files using nokia pc suite. They have disabled this feature on this phone

I hope you are using WInXP on your PC so in that case, you wont need any softwares (one that comes with your dongle) or any other drivers. XP has its drivers for the bluetooth devices. Once you have connected the dongle and it is detected and installed by XP, switch on the bluetooth of the phone so that the phone is discoverable. turn on the bluetooth wizard and search for your phone. Pair it to your PC. Once this is done, Nokia PC suite any version (say 6.6) will detect your phone, so that you can read the files, contacts and other such things on youer phone through your PC. Now I have connected my phone to the net using the DUN or dial up networking and not PC suite. For that you need to configure the modem and set the speed at 230 or 115 kbps, in the advanced settings you need to add the command +crm=1;+cso=33. Then try connecting to the net and tell me if you have any other problem. BYe and have FUN!

ringtones in 6255 depends on the cpapcity of your multimedia card and the format in which you want the tones to be say you have a 1 GB card and you have all the tones in midi format. Lets take an average size of a tone to be 10kb. If you dont have anything else on your phone (songs, vids, wallpapers, and other stuff) you can use all of 1 GB (actually 979 Mb ) for ringtones. NOw you can calculate how much that turns out to be, Since RD6000 does not have an expandable memory, it will have a fixed number. Someone said it is 40. I am not sure. As regards camera, both have a VGA resolution camera, I havent used 6000 but have used LG 7230 and I can tell u 6255 has a slightly better camera than 7230. Color clarity is good, though I think it has a slight bais towards green (maybe only my phone.) If there is only a difference of 2000 rs, I think you should buy nokia. You ll be amzed at the number of things you can do with this phone. Where RD6000 wins hands dowmn is looks, no comparisons there, But overall, anyday for me 6255!

Its because it is live, buddy! just 15 sec lag or so. you can compare it with the TV. so in a sense it is live streaming vids. thats not the case with your 5130 or 2130, So....

Yes 3GP2 vids(recoreded or saved from another source) can be transferred b/w 6255. The maximumhowever is 300kb. I also think it was possible in 7230 the format was MJPEG, I have absolutely no idea what that means. There should be some way in LG6000 as well

well I do notice that the signal strength(the signal bars) is not full at anytime where i live. this was not the case with the earlier LG handset that i was using, however voice reception has never been a problem and I dont get any dropped calls except for once or twice which is probably the same as LG 6130 that i use in the same location.

No bluetooth, no mp3 player........blah blah blah blah 6155 only has a better camera And believe me nokia 1.3 Mp cams are no good either. I have seen the pics taken by 3230, the colors are horrible
