I have used the Nokia 6265 handset for just about 24hrs but I have been able to check almost all features of this handset.I think its a good buy for the price between Rs15-17K.It has got many positives and hardly any negatives.Well I have tried tried to describe the features in detail : 1.Phonebook It can store upto 500 names with 5 numbers per contact.You can also add Photos,email ids etc.Basic features like Speed dialling and Voice tags are also there. 2.Messages You can store large amount of messages because it has about 24mb internal memory.The sub menus are the same as in Nokia 6255 handset.The only new thing is that you have the option to lock the messages to protect it from being deleted. 3.Call history It records last 30 missed,30 dialled and 30 recieved call history.It also has the option of Minibrower calls history. 4.Camera Well as described earlier it has a 2Mp camera with 4x zoom.The photo quality is good but not exceptional.It basically depends upon the brightness around.When you zoom in full then the photo quality decreases as was the case in Nokia 6255.Even the Video quality is satisfactory.The best thing is that it has digital zoom which means while you are recording a Video,you can zoom in and zoom out,which is really a good feature.There are options to change the Image quality from High>Normal>Basic.You can even change the Image size from 1600x1200 to 160x120.The Image&Videos storage folder can been changed to the memory card,hence you can record really long Videos and huge amount of Photos.As I have put a 1Gb minisd card,I have the option of recording Videos for over 2hrs with the best quality.It also has the option of Image sequence by which the Phone takes upto 4 photos in quick succession.It also has the Self timer feature.The Night mode is not that usefull and so is the Flash.The Picture formats supported are JPEG,PNG and GIF. The Video format supported are H.263, MPEG4, 3GPP & 3GPP2.I have posted 2 pictures taken by this handset so that you"ll can see the clarity of this handset. 5.Radio You can save upto 20 channels.But I didnt find the Radio to be too clear.Its satisfactory.Offcource you need a headset to play the radio.It doesnot play with the Bluetooth headset. 6.Music Player Well this is one of the most attractive feature of this handset.If you put a 1Gb card then you donot need any other music device.I think the Music player supports upto 500 songs depending upon the Memory.The songs can be played on the Bluetooth headset or even on the Loudspeaker.The sound formats supported by this handset are EVRC,AAC,MP3,MIDI,AMR.It doesnot support Rm files. 7. Settings a.Display settings Under Display settings also most of the menus are the same as in Nokia 6255 handset.But there are a few New options.There is a option of Sleep Mode which is a power saving mode and turns off the display during inactivity.You can also re-arrange the entire Menu of this handset according to your needs.Themes are also included. b.Connectivity There are 3 options Bluetooth,Infrared,Usb.The sub menus of all these 3 options are the same.Nothing new. c.Security Under this option you can set a security code for the handset and pin code for the UIM card.The security options are good.There are options to lock outgoing and incoming calls from particular numbers.There are options to lock the Phonebook and UIM card memory. 8.Organiser Under this option are menus are the same.Like Alarm,Calculator,Stop watch.Countdown timer etc. 9.Extras a.Games There are 4 games pre loaded.Chess puzzle,Gilf tour,High roller casino and Snake 3. b.Collection There are 2 options-Converter 2 and World clock. 10.R-World Mostly all applications are the same but a few important applications are missing like Phonebook transfer,R-surf etc.Again nothing new in R-world menu. 11.Wap This is a good and important feature of this handset.I have accessed my Rediffmail via Wap.I have also opened Rimweb website using Wap.Some sites open and some have restrictions.Sometimes you have to try 3-4 times to open a particular website if any error message is shown.But overall the Wap experience is satisfactory. 12.R-Connect This handset supports R-Connect also.You can access R-Connect via Data cable or Bluetooth.I am using the R-Connect using my Bluetooth dongle so its a wireless internet connection. 13.Memory card This handset supports Minisd card upto 1gb easily.It may even support 2gb card.Unlike the Nokia 6255 handset you dont need to remove the battery to remove Memory card.The Memory card position is given on the top of the display.Good positioning. I think I have mentioned everything about the handset but still If I have left out anything then please ask me anything about this handset.I hope this review helps many of you"ll. I have purchased a New LG 5340 Handset from a dealer.But I feel the handset was used earlier.Hence I want to check with the RSN number of the handset whether the handset has been activated earlier or no.Also I have purchased a Prepaid GSK from Webworld but the number is not getting activated on the handset.I get the error message "Your phone cannot be activated,please contact Reliance".But the webworld had informed me that the Number has been activated from their end and I just need to dial *228 followed by the 9 digit pin number.So does anyone know the way,how I can find this out Please help

I have lost my Lg 2330 Reliance handset today.It was in the DAPO scheme.I have given the request for disconnection of the services temporary by calling Reliance Cust care.Its not yet disconnected.It will get the disconnected within 3hrs.The person who found this handset is contionusly using the handset as its coming busy.So now is there any way I can trace him or lock the RSN number.Please help

To get the Getstat and Odr status of Lg handsets we message Getstat(rsn) and Odr(rsn) to 3733.But how to get the Getstat and Odr status of Nokia handsets.I have a Nokia 6255 handset ,but the RSN Number is not printed on the box nor at the back of the handset.Only FCC ID,Code,ESN,ESN-HEX are printed.So how to get the status of the Nokia handsets.If anyone knows please help

I guess it can only be done at the Nokia service centre.

I want to sell my Nokia 6265 handset. Its about 7 months old,in good condition with all orignal accessories and box. There is no problem in the handset.The reason I want to sell it is because I need to buy a GSM handset. The handset will be provided without any number so you can transfer your existing Reliance number or take a new connection on it. I will also be providing 1Gb NCP Minisd card with loaded songs(280),softwares,games,videos. There is still about 5 months manufacter warranty remaining. As the handset has been used with care,I expect Rs 12000 for it with 1 GB Minisd card. I am located in Mumbai. Interested people can PM me.

Does anyone know how to use Rediff Bol using WAP on the Nokia 6265 handset ? If yes,can you'll mention the steps ?

Even I have got my October bill and have not been charged for WAP.I am in the DAPO so R-world membership charges also donot apply to me .As of now I think WAP is charged as per R-World charges .But the main concern is that will Reliance stop WAP again after a few days.

We have been paying for every service provided by Reliance so why not for WAP. We are already paying for R-world,R-Connect so I have no problems in paying reasonable charges for WAP. I would prefer a monthly charge for unlimited WAP access but its not in my hands. Mr.Ambani needs to wake up.

We all hope so !! But why have you inserted so many question marks(????) in your last line. What does that mean ? I dont see WAP starting till the next 2 months but if it does I will be more than happy.I dont have any source for this, its just my feeling.

@khs There is no procedure to make the Mini sd card work on your handset.Its just that some cards work on it and some dont.Even I have contacted several people regarding this but no one has a confirmed answer to this problem.There are no problems in the Mini Sd cards but some cards just donot match with the handset.You need to try 3-4 cards before purchasing it.The problem is not only with NCP cards but also with other companies.Its strange but we have to live with it. Regarding 2gb cards, I think someone had mentioned that it works ok but I cannot confirm it because I have never practically used it.I think 1gb is more than enough but it depends on your needs.

What problem are you facing ? The steps are simple : 1.Get connected to the Nokia PC suite using Bluetooth or Data cable 2.Goto Backup in Nokia Pc suite 3.Then click on Restore and select the Nokia 6255 backup from the list. Please describe what exactly you are trying to do and what problem are you facing. I am connecting the 6265 using the DKU-2 cable the phone is detected within pc suite...but when i use the restore option and select the backup made from the 6255...it says no backup found and doesnt proceed further... Well thats a strange problem. Maybe there has been a error or problem while backing up your Nokia 6255 data. Try doing it again.

As we have waited for months for the Nokia 6265 handset, the same way I think we will have to wait for Reliance to start WAP. Reliance had started it but I cant understand why did it stop it. Instead it should continued it by Monthly charges by which Reliance would benefit and also the customers.Atleast we would get to use WAP. I dont have any idea about Tata.

You can download it from http://www.opera.com/products/mobile/operamini/ . You can download it on your handset using Bluetooth or USB cable via Nokia Pc Suite(File Manager).But I would suggest not to download it to your handset because its of no use now. It will only work when Reliance starts WAP again which would take a long time.

Even I agree that the Video clarity in the Nokia 6265 handset is not that good or upto expectation.The Photo clarity is good but unfortunately the Video clarity doesnot match it.And I dont think we can do anything about it.According to me we cannot change the Recording format which as per your knowledge is 3G2. @MILLTEC Its mentioned earlier also several times that we cannot forward or rewind Movies or Videos in the Nokia 6265 handset. Only Mp3 songs can be FF-Rew. @King of Kalyan As per my knowledge Real player softwares are not available for S40 handsets.And I dont think it will work on Nokia 6265 handset. This problem is there in all Nokia handsets(cdma) and also in other handsets(LG,Samsung).And unfortunately we cannot do anything about it. :'( The Service area is displayed whenever you call or even when the handset is inactive. It can only be solved by Reliance which we all know is Impossible

Well I think that you need to decide by reading all the posts under this thread.All members have mentioned its Positives and Negatives and now you have to decide whether it suits you or no. Obviously the Price is the biggest factor but if you are willing to stay with Reliance for long then it shouldnt matter much. The demand has been very good for this handset and it shows how the handset is.There have been a few unlucky people for whom Nokia 6265 has not been worth its price.But I am totally satisfied with its performance and features. Now features like WAP has been disabled from Reliance so you cant blame Nokia 6265 for it.But I think Reliance will sometime eventually start WAP again maybe with high charges.
