1.As you are using R-Connect using USB data cable then its not that complicated. And as you have mentioned that you have already downloaded the USB drivers then you just need to follow a few steps : a.Goto Network Connections in your PC. b.On the left hand side there will be a option to Create a New connection.Click on it. c.Click Next and goto Connect to the Internet>Setup my connection manually>Connect using dial up modem. Then it will ask you to select the Modem and so select the Nokia USB Modem from the list. d.It will ask you to enter the ISP name so enter Reliance and number is #777. e.Then enter the Username and Password which is your mobile number without 0. f.Then click next and finish the procedure. g.Goto Control Panel>Printer and Other hardware>Phone n Modem options>Click on Modem tab>Click on the Bluetooth modem(Bluetooth DUN modem mostly)>Click on Properties>Advanced>In Extra Commands type at+crm=1;+cso=33. h.Thats it you should get connected to the Internet and if not then please contact Reliance R-Connect dept. Also try uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers again. 2.Yes there is a option in Nokia PC suite to convert formats. If you want to convert any Video then play it using Nokia Multimedia Player and when its being played click on Convert n save option which is next to Open file button.(I have attached the picture). And to select the formats goto View>Options>Formats and select from the list. 3.To transfer songs to your handset just follow these steps : a.Connect your handset to the Pc suite using USB data cable or Bluetooth. b.Under PC suite goto Nokia Music Manager>File>Scan PC for music files.Select the drive or folder from where you want to transfer Music. c.Then select the songs and goto File>Copy to phone. It will take sometime for the process depending upon the number of songs selected. d.After the songs have been copied to the handset then goto the list of songs on your handset by clicking on (Nokia 6265 >) under Nokia Music Manager to create a Playlist. e.Select the songs you want to include in the Playlist then click on Create a New playlist button which is located at the left bottom side.(Picture attached) and then click on Save playlist. You cannot make Playlist using the handset. f.After the Playlist has been created and saved then in your handset goto Music Player>Options>Track list>Options>Change track list>Select the name of your created Playlist. The Media Player has the option to FF-Rew for Mp3 Songs only and not Videos. I am not aware of any software which can Rew-FF Videos in S40 handsets.

Well I have mentioned all the steps above and its strange that you are still facing this problem. I would advice you to recheck each step properly. And also try the following steps maybe it will help you. Step 1 : Goto Network connections in your PC. Step 2 : In dialup there will be Bluetooth DUN Connection then right click on it and goto Properties. Step 3 : Under General just check which Modem is ticked. Step 4 : Bluetooth DUN Modem should be ticked and all others should be unticked. I hope you get connected using these steps and if not then try contacting Reliance R-Connect dept on *333.

What I do is that I organise my music into playlists say english and Hindi. You can make any number of playlists you like. Making playlists is a bit complicated and requires the use of Nokia PC sync and Music Manager. In the Track list options you can see the various track lists and play them. I usually either switch to random play or tracklist. I know how to create Tracklist or Playlist using Nokia Music Manager. Its not that difficult. But anyways I got the solution to my problem.

@ kunik I have mentioned earlier also that you cannot Ff/Rw Videos in this handset. And I dont think there is any software which can do it in this handset model. The MP3 Player of this handset arranges the songs in the date order and not by name. I am not talking about the Gallery folder of the Memory card.Because in the Gallery folder you have the option to sort by name, size, type and date but this option is not there in the MP3 player of the handset. For eg. When I add any new songs like KANK title in the handset(Memory card),it will be automatically placed Last in the track list of the MP3 player and not in alphabetically order.Because almost every week I add new songs to the handset but all new songs added are placed last in the MP3 player track list which is a big problem. And if I have to arrange it in the aphabet order then I have to delete all the Songs and Copy it again in the Memory card which I cannot do everyweek. Because I have more than 300 songs. I have tried almost everything to solve it by failed.Does anyone know how to solve the problem.

Yes there is a setting to change the Capture Modes and its also mentioned in the manual. But you cant get the portrait mode in this handset. You can only change the Size of the images. From 1600 x 1200 to 160 x 120.You just need to select the Camera and go in Settings and then Image size.

One of my friends who is a Mobile dealer in Mumbai has told me that soon the Nokia 6265 will be available in Black colour also. I really dont know how true the information is but I dont feel the Black colour handset is worth its price.I mean it looks like a Crow(full black) . You can hardly notice its looks.I also dont have any information about its price.Maybe it should be same but not confirmed.

As you menionted that you have put a Screen Guard the 2nd day you purchased the handset and still you are facing the problem then maybe I have been lucky that I have not yet faced the problem of dust and hopefully I stay away from this problem as long as possible. Anyways Can you tell us from where did you purchase the Screen Guard of the Nokia 6265 handset. The shop name and the address please. Also the price. And Is the Screen Guard specially of Nokia 6265 or some other model which fits on this handset.
-
I have transferred a full movie to my Mini sd card in my Nokia 6265 handset which is almost of 70MB and I didnt have any problems. Its in a 3gp format only. If you are transferring to the Phone memory then it would depend on the Memory available on the handset. Also there maybe some problem in the format settings. There is no maximum size limit in the handset to support 3gp files as long as the Memory is available in the Handset or the Memory card. :'(

As I had mentioned earlier that there is no Screen Guard available in the market as yet which fits the Nokia 6265 display perfectly. And If you have purchased a ready-made Screen Guard of some other model then I am afraid that it might not be fitting perfectly on the display of the Nokia 6265 handset which might lead to dust entering the Screen later. :'( But its good that you are not facing any problems of dust as yet. Now I have purchased an Open Guard which had scales and was trimmed perfectly to fit the display of the Nokia 6265.The Screen Guard should cover the entire display, now as you see the display of the Nokia 6265 handset, there is a silver border(inside) on the Screen and the Screen Guard should fit cover all the ends of it.I am talking about the Silver border which is above the Service light. Well its dificult to explain how the Screen Guard protects the dust from entering the Screen from inside. But many members have complained of dust entering their screens and they have not put the Screen Guards and I have put the Screen guard and I have not yet faced any problems of dust in my Display so the only obvious difference is the Screen Guard. There maybe some other reason also. But still I suggest everyone to put a Screen Guard which will atleast help from Scrathes. Also try and keep the slider closed and open it whenever neccessary.

Well this is not the 1st time this is happened. Earlier also Nokia handsets have always been offered cheaper by Tata as compared to Reliance.Even the Nokia 6255 handset was almost Rs 1000 cheaper by Tata as compared to Reliance in Mumbai. And the Nokia 6265 is almost Rs 2000 cheaper by Tata.So all the extra money is directly going in Mr.Anil Ambani's pocket. :'( I would not blame Nokia for it because I think Nokia must be supplying the handsets at the same cost to both the companies but Reliance always keeps a very huge profit margin even in Handset section.
-
But will it work on Reliance Network. Is it a CDMA or GSM handset. If it doesnot work with Reliance then whats the use because there are several other High end handsets which are much better than the Nokia 6265 handset but dont work on Reliance Network.
-
@ Monji Well its really disappointing to here about your problem. And its really sad that after investing over Rs 16K also you have to face such problems in the handset. Anyways now its a bit difficult to get you out of this problem. Now as you have mentioned that you have already registered a complaint regarding HCC not working so the 1st Option is to wait for a resolution from the Rel Tech team. But as we all know how unprofessional they are and you never know how many days they will take to solve your problem. The 2nd option is that,You can remove the UIM card from the Nokia 6265 handset and give it for servicing. And if any of your friends has a RUIM enabled Reliance handset then you can insert your UIM card init and try transfering your number to your LG 5130 handset after the HCC complaint is solved. And also remember to remove your Memory card before giving the handset for repair at the Nokia Service centre because many times for no reason they just format the card and all your data is gone. I have no other suggestions for you and hopefully one of the options will help you and hopefully your problem is solved soon.

Well I was One of the First Rimweb members to purchase this handset about 35 days back and on the very same day,I put the Scrath Guard on my Nokia 6265 handset. Now atleast I have no problems of dust in my display so maybe the Scrath Guard has helped or maybe there maybe some other reason. But mostly I think its the help of the Scrath Guard. And I see no harm in putting a Scrath Guard. Atleast I dont know how to explain how to check the Orignality of a NCP Memory card.Just check for the NCP sticker on the Card but still it can be duplicate. But I suggest you buy it from a person who you know and trust and there should be no problems.I really dont think you should pay more than Rs 1500(max) for a 1Gb Mini Sd card.I purchased mine for Rs 1100 and its working perfectly fine.
-
Rs. 2000 only In Mumbai you get a 1Gb NCP Mini Sd card for Rs 1100-1200.And I guess even in Delhi it should be around Rs 1200 only and Rs 2000 is way too expensive.
-
What exactly is a screen guard? Is it a kind of a transparent sticker? How effective is it? Yes,the Screen Guard is a transparent sticker which is applied on the display to protect the Display from Scrathes. Its quite effective and surely worth its price. After spending thousands of Rs on the handset, its sensible to put more Rs 100-200 on the Screen Protector. And its hardly visible.
-
Well no its not possible to browse the folders of 2 bluetooth connected handsets. With Bluetooth you can only transfer files and data but not browse folders of other connected handsets.Well yes you can do it when you are connected to the computer but not directly between 2 handsets. Regarding the Screen Guard as I have mentioned above its better to pay more(max Rs 100) and get the perfect size Screen Guard. As I have mentioned that all the Screen Guards listed on Ebay are not of Nokia 6265 but of other models. And the Screen Guard that I purchased was not of any handset but was called an Open Guard. It had scales inbuilt and could be cut to any size and for any handset and hence it fitted perfectly on the Nokia 6265 handset.Even I tried Screen Guards of several handsets but none fitted perfectly.Well its just my advice now the decision is completely yours
-
Well I would advice everyone to check the Seller ratings and feedback on Ebay before purchasing anything. Now the Screen Guard is obviously cheap so not much risk but mainly for costly products. The User ratings are very important on Ebay. Secondly I would advice everyone to purchase their Screen Guard for Nokia 6265 handset directly from a shop and not via Ebay because I dont think any Screen Guard available in the market fits the Nokia 6265 display perfectly. As this handset has been newly launched hence the exact size is not available inthe market yet. As you see the picture(attached below) is of Nokia 6680 and not Nokia 6265 handset. So its better to visit the shop directly and the person will only apply it for you and will adjust it accordingly on the display of Nokia 6265.You can visit Heera Panna(South Mumbai) for it but you should get it at any mobile shop.
-
Well I have a solution for your 1st problem. 1.Goto Calender > Select the day for which you want to be reminded. 2.Press Options and Goto Make a Note > Reminder 3.Type your message 4.Alarm On. 5.Then goto Alarm>Alarm Tone>Open Gallery>Change it. For your 2nd problem,I have not downloaded any Videoringtones so I cannot suggest anything.

Well as expected WAP has not yet started. And as I have mentioned above that I think it wont start for the next 15-20 days.Maybe the delay is because Reliance must be working on the tariffs for WAP access.I think there will 2 schemes,1st with per download charges and the 2nd unlimited download by paying monthly rent for it.Hopefully the charges are cheap. Regarding the Battery,I have never used it till its completely empty. But still it works for about 2 days with basic talktime and usage and the battery meter shows below half. But I think with full battery we can use Mp3 player for about 2-3 hrs which is satisfactory. I have put Scrath guard on my display on the same day when I purchased the handset.I have no problems of dust inside my display. And I suggest everyone to put scrath guard which can be reusable and is also rewashable. Its a bit expensive but not much of a difference.I purchased mine for Rs 150.

Well its really sad that Reliance is very poor in customer satisfaction as compared to other operators like Hutch. Whenever we call the Reliance Cust care or visit the Webworld it seems that we have more knowledge and information about Reliance Infocomm than them. Its like we tell them about the new handsets and the new services available in Reliance.Sometimes I dont feel like calling the Cust care because 90% their systems are under upgradation. Its so irritating. And as I have mentioned above that their techinical and billing staff are no better. Let me tell you"ll what happened with me recently, sorry as this is a off topic.I had taken my connection in May,2003 in DAPO and in May,2006 I completed my 36 months but still I was charged Rs 200(other plan charges) inthe month of June and July,2006.I registered a complaint for it and then got no phone call for the next 4-5 days.I called the Cust care today to know the status of the complaint and they told that the complaint has been solved and the resolution from the Billing Dept was that I had taken the connection in Oct,2003 and not May,2003 and I will be charged Rs 200 till October,2006.I was surprised to hear that. I told the executive that I have the reciept that I had taken the connection in May,2003 and I also asked her to check my first bill and then she confirmed that I was right and then forwarded the complaint again.I mean this is just completely stupid. The Billing dept even doesnot know when the Cust has actually activated the connection. They are really foolish. I think we are only stuck with Reliance because of its tariff and nothing else. The Reliance network is also very poor in Maharashtra specially on high ways. Also the handset range is limited.Plus services like WAP,MMS are not promoted.I think Mr.Ambani needs to do something soon because the day some operator offers tariff like Reliance, almost 20-40% customers will quit Reliance.I think Reliance needs good Cust care staff as well as Billing and tech staff at the earliest.
-
Well I dont think WAP will start on 27th Aug(thats tomorrow). Trusting dates given by Reliance is absolutely stupidity. Even I have spoken to Reliance Cust care and as usual they donot know when will WAP start.Even Reliance techinicians are no better. They cant handle their own system so I dont understand how will they handle their loyal customer request. But I really hope WAP starts at the earliest.

I have downloaded the Nokia Diego software 3.0 but whenever I try to connect my Nokia 6265 handset to it,I get the error message " Nokia Security Control-Unable to locate Dongle,Exiting application ". Can someone help I am trying to connect via Bluetooth Dongle.
