I have just got my July,2006 bill and in that I have not been charged for WAP seperately and I think its included in my R-world membership only so now Its confirmed that if you have R-world membership then unlimited WAP access.I am in DAPO so I dont have to even pay Rs 25 for membership.

The Excel + Word and also the Safe protect software is only a free trial and not a full version.So no use of using it.We will just get a demo for about 30 days. I want to suggest to my friends to please not post trial version softwares because they are of no use.

Finally Welcome to the Nokia 6265 family Well I have already posted my review on Page 1,the very 1st Post of this Topic.You can make some adjustments or add your new experiences with this cool handset. @ Moon drops I have tried both the softwares and they seem to be good but as usual all good softwares come at a price so I dont think it will attract too many people.Arn't there any good softwares/applications for Nokia 6265 which are free to download and use I have been searching but didnt find any good application.If anyone has any information then please share it with all of us

1.Yes 2.No 3.No. Well regarding Reliance shifting to GSM,you can atleast expect another 1-1.5 yrs for it.And I dont think the Nokia 6265 handset will work on GSM tech even with Reliance.Anyways dont think about it too much..still a long time to go.

Well yes there is no option of Phone lock in the security settings of the handset as is mentioned in the manual.Its strange because this feature was there in Nokia 6255 and I cant believe its missing in this handset.I feel there must be some settings for it,will try to figure it out in sometime. But there is a option of Pin code ON/Off where by whenever you switch on the handset it will ask for a Pin code but If you enter it incorrect for 3 times then it will ask your PUK code and its a big problem then. There is also a option to protect the phonebook by going in Settings>Security>Security level>Memory.

Well yes even I connect using my Bluetooth software and not Nokia pc suite.There is some connectivity driver problem with the Nokia pc suite.I had the same problem in my Nokia 6255 handset also.But as you have mentioned that you are easily able to connect manually then no worries.

Well here are some answers from my side : 1.As many people have mentioned that Nokia handsets dont have this feature then its not surprising that this handset also lacks the feature of having dialled,recieved and missed calls on the press of one button.Lg handsets have this feature but lack many features which Nokia handsets have so we have to live with the handset we choose.Its unrealistic to get everything in one handset. 2.Well I think If they start giving 2 options for every feature then we would demand 3 and it will go on and I dont think it is required.The amount of money they will need to put 2 options for every feature,I think they should spend the same amount of money on making the 1st option perfect.Well I dont see any problems with the Volume keys and I dont see any reason why a second option should be included. 3.Activate the Meeting profile with the options you have picked above and your problem is solved.Now when you recieve any call and when your handset vibrates just press Volume key(side key) once and your handset will become silent and then press the End button and the call will be rejected. Regarding the Banner problem as someone mentioned just turn off the Auto time/date updates and then switch off and switch on your handset and your problem will be solved.After you switch on the handset and then If you On the Auto time/date updates also nothing will happen.You will be able to personalise the Banner.

1.I dont think there are any applications for password protection folders 2.Again I dont think there is any software for recording calls 3.Yet again I dont think series 30 softwares will work with series 40 handset because they are technically different but still you can try maybe some might work. I also face this issue in Opera but the chances of error popping up is far lower than inbuilt minibrowser. When I start Opera, I face this issue initially but once I get going then I can surf seamlessly. Well yes I agree that the Opera Mini software is better than the Mini browser but still its very irritating when that error pops up,Is there any setting or solution for this Also tell me exactly from where and how did you download the software on your handset.Did you directly download it on your mobile or did you download it on your computer then installed it using Nokia Installation software.Also as you mentioned that at the time of initial connection only you face this problem but then later does this error pop up or it doesnot pop up after that at all.Please answer to all the above mentioned questions soon.

@ Zappu As you are also using the Opera Mini software to access Wap, I want to know whether you are also facing the problem which I am facing regarding Error popping up(An Error occurred) again and again, atleast I have to try 2-3 times to successfully open a site.Please let me know soon.

@ Panks Its good to hear that you have successfully connected your handset to the laptop via Bluetooth.Now connecting to the Internet(R-Connect) via Bluetooth.Follow these steps : 1.Activate R-Connect on your number(It should be already activated). 2.Connect the handset and the laptop via Bluetooth. 3.Goto Control Panel>Printer and Other hardware>Phone n Modem options>Click on Modem tab>Click on the Bluetooth modem(Bluetooth DUN modem mostly)>Click on Properties>Advanced>In Extra Commands type at+crm=1;+cso=33. 4.Click on the Bluetooth Dial up Networking service which will be there in your Bluetooth software.Enter your username and password(Your mobile number without 0) and the Dialling number #777. 5.Thats it,I think you should get connected after you follow these steps.

Well same with my battery also.The battery cannot last more than max 2-3 days with use.8-9 days is the stand by time provided under ideal condition without any use of the handset which is not possible on daily basis.I have been using WAP contionusly and I have to charge my handset every 24 hrs.But even I feel the battery life should have been a bit more..

Well obviously if you try and cover the handset or keep it away from the computer then the speed will reduce.In normal situation when the handset is near the computer the speed is quite good.

Well I would surely suggest you to buy the Bluetooth dongle.You can wirelessly transfer data and also connect to the internet(R-connect).And it can also be used as a Memory card reader and writer.Also it will work with all Bluetooth handsets so it will be usefull even in the future.Its small in size and very easy to carry. Hi Can you tell me the speed of bluetooth? So u mean we can browse the internet wirelessly on our pc through R Connect? Can we use R connect with the data cable also? Thanks Abhishek Mukim Yes we can browse the internet wirelessly on the Pc using Bluetooth dongle.Well the speed depends upon the Operator but talking about Bluetooth speed then not much of a difference as compared to data cable.I agree Bluetooth transfer maybe a bit slow compared to data cable but not a major difference.Yes you can also access Internet with data cable.I have pratically used both the methods and I would still prefer Bluetooth dongle.The Bluetooth dongle acts 3 in 1,you can transfer data+access Internet+Memory card reader/writer.So by paying between Rs 350-Rs 500 for Bluetooth dongle then you dont need anything more.

I have purchased a bluetooth from shop n its price of Rs 350/- . It has come with a mini bluetooth software cd. And i already installed it. but when i called *333 then they told me the procedure which i could not get till now.How to use this wireless internet connectivity I really dont know? N also suchummi pl tell me that what is a wap n how to go in this handset . that is in r world or something esle. Please tell me the name of the Bluetooth software that you have installed on your laptop.And have you been successful in connecting your handset to the laptop via Bluetooth.If not then try these steps : 1.Switch on the bluetooth on your Nokia 6265 handset. 2.Make your handset in discoverable mode. 3.Insert the Bluetooth dongle in your Laptop and start the Bluetooth software that you have installed. 3.Then there must be a option of Device discovery or Searh for device in your Bluetooth software. 4.After the search has been completed it should show your handset in the search list. 5.Then right click on your handset name on your laptop and click on Pair device. 6.It will ask for a code,just enter any code and enter the same in your handset when it ask for it. 7.Now your handset should be connected to your laptop. First finish the connection between the handset and the laptop by the above mentioned steps then we will move on to Internet connection.And please tell me the name of the Bluetooth software installed on your laptop. Regarding Wap,as Zappu has mentioned the procedure to goto Wap,just try it. Wap is nothing but surfing internet sites on your handset.If you have any problems in Wap connectivity then let me know.

Even I have downloaded the Opera Mini software on Nokia 6265 handset.But still there is one problem,sometimes still the Error pop ups and then we have to retry again.Otherwise its really good we can actually open any site like we surf on the Computer.Does anyone have any solution to resolve the Error problem in this software,are there any new versions available in this software Also does anyone know any good sites to download free Nokia 40 series jar themes.I have tried several sites but all have sis format themes which are not supported by the Nokia 6265 handset.The Nokia 6265 supports only jar format applications and games.

@Panks Let me know which Bluetooth software have you loaded on your Laptop and also have you ever used Bluetooth dongle before After you answer to these questions then I will be able to help you out better Well most of the differences are listed above but there are few more minor differences like : 1.Security options-Nokia 6265 has much better security options as compared to Nokia 6255 handset.You have the option to lock your phonebook and also request a pin for UIM card on startup. 2.Camera-Offcource the resolution and clarity is the major difference but also digital zoom which allows us to actually zoom in and zoom out while video recording.This feature is not there in Nokia 6255.Also Image sequence which captures upto 4 images in quick succession.And also Video recording length is another difference. 3.Music player-The Mp3 player in Nokia 6265 supports upto 500 songs while in Nokia 6255 supports less(I think 250).I am talking about the Music player list and not the storage capacity of the handset.Also I feel the speakers of the Nokia 6265 are much better than the Nokia 6255 handset.And also Nokia 6265 supports more music formats. 4.Display-Themes are supported by Nokia 6265 unlike Nokia 6255 handset.The entire Menu format can be changed according to your preference in the Nokia 6265 which is missing in Nokia 6255.Nokia 6265 has Sleep mode which is again missing in Nokia 6255 handset. 5.Extras-In the Nokia 6265 handet you can easily download jar. format games and applications via Nokia Pc SUITE.You donot need to download 3rd party softwares for it like was the case in Nokia 6255 handset. 6.Wap-This is another addtional feature in the Nokia 6265 handset. 7.Memory card-In Nokia 6265 handset the memory card slot in given above the display and is easily accessible while in the Nokia 6255 handset the memory card slot was given under the battery which was a big hassle. 8.Looks-No one can argue that the Nokia 6265 handset looks much better than the Nokia 6255 handset. I think most of the differences have been mentioned maybe a few are still left.But the above points clearly show how the Nokia 6265 is superior to the Nokia 6255 handset in almost all aspects.

Well the code you mentioned doesnot work. But still I have found out the details. The details are listed below : Server 1>Ip address 1>Ip address>012.025.203.032>Port 80. All entries of Server 2 are nil so I didnt post it.

Just try switching off and switching on your handset and then try accessing Wap.You should get through.When the 403 error shows then just press retry key for maybe 3-4 times and you should be able to get through.Even Zappu had the same problem but now his problem is solved.I cant suggest you anything else,so just try the above steps and hopefully your problem should also be solved.

Well as I have mentioned in my review that such error messages pop up but you need to retry for atleast 3-4 times then the site opens.Sometimes if you are lucky then it opens in the 1st chance only. Missing, Battery Backup, Voice Quality, Signal Strength Etc, Well the battery backup seems to be good.Its been just over 40hrs since I have got this handset so I cant really comment on the battery backup now.Regarding the Voice clarity,its good and so is the signal strength.But this mostly depends upon the network but still its good.

The Nokia 6265 handset doesnot support Messages in Nokia PC suite.But you can install games and softwares which are series 40 capable in the Nokia 6265 handset using Nokia PC suite.You dont need to download any other software to install games/softwares in the Nokia 6265 handset.If anyone knows any good sites from where we can download free games and softwares for series 40 handsets then please share it with us also.

I have not used Wap enough to actually comment on it.But I did try using Rediff website and it opened but when I tried accessing my Rediffmail account then there was some error message. I have purchased a NCP 1GB Mini SD card for Rs 1100.It works perfectly fine.Infact I have already loaded songs,videos,images in it. I have already utilised about 700Mb of my Mini Sd card. I will surely give a complete review of this handset today(Thursday).
