  1. The service centre is near Harinivas, on the Bhakti Mandir Road. (Micro Services, Shop no 6, Dev Prayag chs Ltd,Bhakti Mandir Rd,Panch Pakhadi 400602) They asked no questions, just took the phone, reinstalled eclair and gave it back. But remember to take the bill with you...... Regards, Kartik. Thanks... Will visit them & get my phone back to normal
  2. @kki_cdma Since you too are from thane, just tell me which service centre did u take ur phone to get it back to normal? Can i hv the adress? I think i need to do a factory reset from the Service centre as my phone too is in the same state as your phone a few days back.
  3. I cant flash EH03 as it gets stuck at modem.bin & it finally displays FAIL on the Odin screen. Geewiz was the only way i was able to move up to GB but now its not working either. Theres some issue as i mentioned above in the formating of the datadata file. Is there a way i can Odin eh03 without the modem.bin file??
  4. Hi! Whenever i am trying to upgrade to geewiz rom I am getting this message Restoring data... Restoring datadata... E:cant mount /dev/block/stl10 (file exists) Error Mounting /datadata/! Skipping format... E:Cant mount /dev/block/stl10 (file exists) Cant Mount datadata/! Pls help
  5. Hey Amitrotray... good to hear that you are now on ICS. Even I was able to seamlessly move on to ICS (thanks to the superb guide by joshm) from my geewiz setup but i had to revert back to froyo as my 1x/3G data could not be enabled. But i did enjoy my few hours of ICS. Its awesome. So smooth. So many features. Loved the status bar screen. Its just awesome. I just wish i can re upgrade to iCS again but this time with data too. @joshm & other seniors... kindly help me get back to GB first & then ICS please.
  6. @joshm As mentioned in my earlier post I am on eh 18 froyo . I'm not even able to flash geewiz as whenever I try to do that, the phone boots, shows Samsung logo, shows Verizon animation, stays for a while and then restarts and does the same thing again. Is there anything else I can do to flash geewiz or any other custom gb rom?
  7. I tried flashing ics data fix files using recovery but still no result. In the meanwhile as i thought of reinstalling the rom again, i flashed atlas pit & stock eh18 rom. It went fine but when the phone rebooted, it showed some error of not able to format datadata. The booting process went fine & i am now able to use the phone for both data & voice. Next i odined the red recovery & then via recovery wiped data, cache & dalvik & then installed geewiz rom & kernal zip. Now the phone is not going beyond the VZW screen & keeps rebooting.
  8. @joshm.. Successfully upgraded to AOKP Ics rom. Installation went neatly. But i have lost my data connectivity. It does not show 1x or 3G signal at all. Please help soon. I've just got time till sunday evening or else i'll have to revert back to GB which i sincerely do not want to do as i have stared liking this rom already ( I use Data connection extensively on my phone & without it the phone is of very less use. i have flashed the data fix file for isc & installation was successful.
  9. Can i Flash ICS rom even if i am on eh18 baseband ?? I'm curently on geewiz 2.8 system & kernal with eh18 radio. Sliver1 had faced a problem loading ICS on geewiz, thats why i wanted to flash stock EH03 first (that too from CWM) . Dint want any complications
  10. @Kartik... you can download the kies mini software from Samsung website or you might have got the CD too with your handset. Do keep your internet on before starting the kies mini software so that it can check for update for your phone. BTW, can someone help me with a Cmw flashable EH 03 RADIO. Or Eh 03 complete rom flashable through Cwm . I need this as I am not able to go past the modem.bin using Odin. This will help me get to eh 03 stock so that I can then flash AOKP Ics rom THANKS IN ADVANCE.
  11. Hi Kartik, The safest way to upgrade to atleast froyo is to connect ur phone to samsung kies mini, let it search for the upgrade which is Ek10 & update it. That was the very first thing i had done on my handset.
  12. Hi I feel Reliance has locked the handset such that the radio cannot be changed by flashing modem.bin Still waiting for a suitable answer.
  13. I have already tried to Odin this but it failed to go beyond modem.bin I think there should be some more or different setting to be done for Reliance handsets. Anyone knows ifchanging the boot loader will help?
  14. Hi, I was trying to Odin eh03 radio on my current setup (Geewiz rom & kernal with eh19 radio) but somehow it is just not finishing. It gets stuck at modem.bin. ThIs happens only with the Handsets bought from reliance. Has this something to do with the bootloader (locked /unlocked)??? Is there any way to flash the EH03 /FC27 radio using red recovery? I also wanted to try out the AOKP's ICS rom but this thing is holding me back as i cannot load EH03 stock at all (modem.bin problem)
  15. I was exactly in the same position a few days ago as you are now. No rom either stock eh03 or custom rom worked. It never used to go beyond modem. bin. What I did to get out of this is mentioned below ( just brief description ): 1) update your mobile number in the dir section using CDMA workshop or dfs software. Be very careful while doing this.. .. if you skip this step your phone may go into the language selection loop. Also note down your min number and other numbers as in Reliance handsets it is not available in the menu. Be careful and just click on read in every section. Just make changes in dir number. (For details on this refer to Amittrotray's posts. 2) download geewiz 2.8 edify version rom and kernel from this thread and copy to root of SD card. 3) download red recovery. 4) install red recovery using Odin 5) insert battery and go to red recovery by using 3 finger technique 6) flash geewiz rom then kernel. Reboot That's it. You should be on eh03 based geewiz rom. Seniors please correct if I have missed out on anything. I have set my phone using this same procedure. Sorry Kartik I could not attach any files or links as I am typing this reply from my phone. All These files are available on this thread itself.
  16. @Joshm... i'm in the que too for upgrading to ICS. Downloaded all necessary files. Just waiting for my laptop. In the meanwhile could you highlight the Useful features which are available in ICS as compared to GB. And is there any changes in the home screen etc..? @ sliver1... have you successfully upgraded to ICS?
  17. @joshm......... 1) Kindly refer to the image, the baseband version on my phone still shows EH18. I think it should have been EH03 as i had directly flashed geewiz 2.8 rom & kernal on EH18 setup. Do i need to do any changes? 2) If i have to flash FC27 radio ( just the radio), can i directly flash it on this setup? 3) The ICS guide is tempting me to upgrade again but i think i will wait for some more time, i guess, maybe till weekend to get myself acquainted with the procedure. @renuka,.... happy to help Anytime.... I learned this from the Rimweb community .......they have been always soooo helpfull... :-)
  18. @renu Have you got your EVDO service activated from Reliance? You need to call the call centre to get this activated. A typical conversation from them would be that it is already activated but then ask them to deactivate & then reactivate it again . You will also need to go for android specific data plans (which are same as netconnect+ plans 1GB @ 650/-, 2GB@750/-& so on). This takes couple of days. I had had a tough time getting the service activated on my handset (almost a month). Almost all the CC guys are totally unaware of this setting and some funny souls out there ask you to change your SIM to OMH (thats how much they know what they sell) .
  19. @joshm I was previously using Go Launcher Ex when i was on eclair & froyo. Strangely it isn't so smooth now on GB. Seems to be working slow in comparison to the stock touchwiz home screen. Also, i'm still not very satisfied with my setup. Maybe it has something to do with the cache/data wipe. As i told earlier, i had done data & cache wipe but when i booted, it could not connect either on 1x or 3G. so i had reflashed old data & cache to get it back to normal.
  20. OK, i think i will stick to EH03 Geewiz 2.8 rom & kernal till something new & good comes up....
  21. Yes, I am using geewiz rom and geewiz kernal (I found it in the posts by joshm ) but I had not wiped any data our cache before doing so. I will try it out. Update: I wiped data & cache & refalshed Geewiz 2.8 system & geewiz 2.8 kernal. Phone Booted but there was no 1x/3G signal. So i went back to recovery and restored the cache & data from my earlier backup. Data is now working fine. One more question to the seniors out here, which one is better, Geewiz or suprclean??
  22. HI! I'm on EH03 with Geewiz rom & kernal.2.8. But with this setup i'm getting lot of force close messages from random apps. It happens atleast twice daily. & today my phone just shut down just like that. Any suggestions guys ??? Regards, Swapnil
  23. Yes Yes Yes.... I am finally on GB and enjoying every bit of it. ... Thanks to Joshm, Amitroutray (who called me up and refered Sunil romy) and last but not at all least Sunilromy who through teamviewer helped me get through the Language option screen which was bugging me since days. Thanks everyone for the help. And yes , sorry for the late reply, was kinda busy with some personal work so couldnt post soon. Regards, maverick75 aka swapnil Samsung Fascinte EH03 with geewiz rom and kernal..
  24. @joshm, I had read about it earlier how to find MIN no but asked here because it is not found/mentioned in my phone's settings > about phone > status > Min menu It just shows me Batt Status, batt level, PRL version, MEID, Network etc. (maybe its not available on Reliance handsets). I see a 10 digit number mentioned when i go to "contacts - My profile".
