Reliance CDMA RUIM on Verizon iPhone 5 5C 5S and 6
Avichal123 posted a topic in Technical / OS related
Hi RimWebians... I am sort of a newbie here.. I searched the whole forum for this topic but did not find anything related so made a new page. I have been trying to get CDMA RUIM working on recent Apple iPhones as iPhone 4 and 4S were the last iPhone I had made working and used on Reliance(via MEID Registeration). I have heard a lot about Verizon iPhone (Recent Ones - 5 5S 5C and Probably 6) work on CDMA RUIM maybe via tweaking or directly. Till now I have tried RUIM in Indian sets and US unlocked sets and can confirm non working. I met a man online who says he has tried RUIM in a Verizon Unlocked Phone and Calls and SMS work straight away. After researching more I came to know about a special sim that comes with MIN Programmed in it and you need to get your no. transferred over it (Via WebWorld). This sim when inserted in Verizon iPhone work with Data SMS and Calls all without any problems. Could someone throw some light on this matter. I tried searching over every area and wanted to know if the above is correct. If yes, then where can I buy these "Special SIM" that support data. I will be buying Verizon iPhone 5S and 5C accordingly. I have almost made my mind to order as it will work with GSM anyways but I want it to work with Reliance CDMA and with data if possible. Need Help from Experts. Thank You -
iPhone CDMA Likely To Be Launched By Reliance Communications
rajanmehta posted a topic in Reliance Communications
iPhone CDMA Likely To Be Launched By Reliance Communications Source RCom is planning to launch the iPhone for its CDMA network in India, BGR India has learnt. Multiple people with knowledge of the matter have confirmed that the two companies have signed a deal and an announcement is likely to be made soon. With increasing data revenues across carriers, RCom hopes that having a high-end device like the iPhone would help it retain subscribers and also increase its data revenues. “We have always believed that CDMA is a better technology for data services and we will introduce high-end smartphones across both GSM and CDMA networks,” an RCom executive told BGR India on condition of anonymity as he is not authorized to speak to the media. Apart from Apple, the carrier is also looking at other vendors like HTC and Lenovo to offer smartphones for both its GSM and CDMA networks. Currently, all iPhones and GSM smartphones from other vendors are available unlocked so it is unlikely to make much sense for RCom to procure GSM smartphones. In all likelihood, it would launch the CDMA variants and probably offer some regular data bundling deals for its GSM subscribers. Earlier RCom had entered into a marketing agreement with CoolPad, a Chinese brand, to sell low-end Android smartphones from its own stores. However, the carrier now believes it needs premium smartphones in order to entice high value subscribers to increase its data revenues. -

iPhone 3GS For Rs 9,999 From Aircel Source Aircel is offering Apple iPhone 3GS for Rs 9,999 with a rider of advanced rental of Rs 3000 for which you will get 3G data for 12 months. Apple iPhone 3GS is now an old phone, yet it has got the same incredible quality and user interface that the latest iPhones have. And with Aircel offering this phone for just Rs 9,999, it is even a better deal. To grab this deal customers will need to pay advance rental of Rs 3,000 in addition to the cost of the phone which will offer them 2 GB (after 2 GB at a slower 128 Kbps speed) plan for 12 months in 3G circles, and in circles where only 2 G network is available users will get 1000 mins local and STD calls and 2500 local and national SMS along with unlimited 2G data for 6 months. The only catch is that the plan is available only for the postpaid users. While the plan is more attractive for people where Aircel has 3G network is available but never the less 2G offer is also exciting. If you are in the market for a smartphone with a budget of Rs 10,000, this is the offer that you can safely go for. Aircel offers only unlimited plans and have one of the cheapest 3G plans in the country, so even after 12 months (in 3G circles) or 6 months (2G circles) as the case may be, users will get very attractive data and voice plans. Till now iPhone 3GS has been available for Rs 19,990 from Airtel and Aircel.

The iPhone 4S was launched at the Apple HQ about half an hour ago. The wildly speculated iphone 4S was rumored to be called iphone 5, but was finally launched as iPhone 4S Quick specs: dual core A5 chip 8 Megapixel camera Same display GSM+CDMA (this should interest more than a few people here!) Better battery life (up to 10 hours of video, 6 hours of 3G browsing) Same upload speed, but better download speeds (up to 14.4 Mbps) 1080p HD recording This is what has already been revealed. May be more. I'm going to sleep now! Vishwas
