I recently got the Moto G4 Play on Saturday. Got Jio Sim.I have put Jio 4G sim in slot 1. Things are working fine and I am getting LTE and VOLTE .But at randomly, my LTE sim signal is getting lost and sim 1 is showing emergency calls only & No sim card. All I need to do is to go to sim settings and disable sim 1 and again enabling it will bring signals back or just turn aeroplane mode on and off . This is happening randomly during a day and happening every 2 to 3 hours 7-8 times in a day. I even dont know that signal is lost unless I take my phone of pocket to make calls or check messages. I have even tried to put second Jio 4G sim to check but same is happening with second sim also with the jio join app installed. It works fine for few hours and then goes to same no signal emergency calls only. So I am confused whether its an issue with sim or phone? Anyone else facing this issue in their phones. Called Jio customer care they said they are making some changes due to which this issue is happening. But in the Lyf phone with the same sim there are no issues at all. Also i found a similar post in XDA for the same issue but for a different model Moto G 3rd Gen. Tried couple of steps given there but did not fix the issue. Phone is updated with all the latest updates. http://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/help/volte-sim-issue-moto-g-3rd-gen-t3298334 Any suggestions what to do as i got the phone from Amazon. Should i ask for replacement ?

Reliance JIO SIM Activation Related
LTE4G posted a topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
Reliance JIO SIM activation is taking quite some time now. I collected the token on 25th August 2016 from Reliance Digital (not mini). Submitted my documents and collected SIM (Prepaid) on 26th August 2016. Was told that it may take up to 10 days for the SIM to get activated. Finally received message from JIONET "Dear Customer, Thank you for choosing Jio. We have received your application for new connection. Your order number is ....... Thank you, Team Jio" on my alternate number on 1st September 2016 after midnight (i.e. 1:00 AM on 2nd Sept). Again received message from JIONET "Dear Customer, Due to overwhelming response to our Jio Preview Offer, there may be some delays in activating your connection. We will inform you via SMS once your Jio number 70XXXXXXXX is ready for televerification. Thank you, Team Jio" on my alternate number on 3rd Sept 2016 evening. Still waiting eagerly but with patience for next message. Tomorrow is 5th Sept and if my SIM gets activated tomorrow or later then it will be Welcome offer by default I think. UPDATE: (4rth September 2016) Viola! Activation Message Received just now on my alternate number that my number is ready for televerification.- 43 replies

SIM Cards bought with Duplicate IDs, Sold without papers
Honest posted a topic in Indian Telecom / General News
SIM cards bought with duplicate IDs, sold without papers Hindustan Times l Mumbai l 31 March 2012 After a month-long investigation, the police on Friday cracked down on a large-scale racket wherein prepaid SIM cards were being provided to customers without identity proofs or related documents. Hundreds of activated SIM cards have been recovered from the accused. The crime branch arrested nine people, including a senior official of a prominent telecom company, who would allegedly obtain the SIM cards using photocopies of documents provided to them by genuine applicants, and then sell them at exorbitant rates. Joint commissioner of police, crime, Himanshu Roy on Friday said that eight of the accused – Ravindra Gajanan Patil, 24, Sunil Batawala, 21, Ravindra Wagmode, 20, Digambar Kole, 34, Ravi Bhuje, 23, Sunny Barati, 27, Ganesh Shinde, 22, Azad Chote Singh, 22 – worked as salesmen for different service providers, while Aslam Islam Sheikh, 33, is the assistant territory manager for the company office at Kurla. The Unit 7 of the crime branch also recovered 379 activated SIM cards, from different network providers, along with more than 550 forged documents. The arrested accused have been charged with cheating and forgery. Such SIM cards might be used by anti-social elements for criminal activities and may harm the national security, police said. The group would take multiple photocopies of genuine customers’ application forms (with valid ID proofs such as address proof, photographs, passport or PAN card copies), who they had issued SIM cards. They would also scan their photographs. Using these photocopies, they would get multiple SIM cards issued from the companies they worked for. “With duplicated documents, hundreds of SIM cards were obtained in one genuine customers’ name,” Roy said. They would sell these SIM cards to customers. “The group sold these at prices ranging between Rs 400 and Rs 1,000 – as against the market price of Rs25-Rs40,” said Roy. Police are worried about the security implications of the racket, which shows the ease with which SIM cards can be obtained using fake identities. If police track any activity on these numbers, it would be traced to the customer who’s duplicate documents were used. “That person would have little clue that hundreds of cards were being issued in his name,” said Roy. The Telephone Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has been informed, so it can begin an inquiry. “It’s a national security concern,” said Roy.
