Hi, I got a ZTE Speed from my cousin. Here`s what i have been able to do up untill now. 1.Get SPC by manual activation procedure 2.Use that SPC to change mode to ruim pref. after that it recognises indian ruim (rel/mts) and voice and sms working well. (Pls note 1x data was working for some time after i did that but didn` t hold) 3.but data was not working. So, I tried to add APN using shortcut master app. I was not able to add apn other than MCC 310 MNC 000 as UICC was locked. Then I got UICC unlocked. 4.After that I have been able to add APN and enable them for use. Even then data is not working. 5.i`ve tried workarounds for other devices such as change to "Simple IP", change active Profiles to "0". Add NAI as "net" etc. But nothing works. Someone please please help.

Source by theotherguy All credit goes to hotaru2k3 and Rimidal from XDA First off you need to be on stock sprint rom or base for this to work. Also it will work on bad esn phones If you are on KitKat 4.4.2, scroll all way to end of this post, follow the procedure then follow the steps mentioned below. 1. You should be rooted 2. Download Termnial Emulator 3. Run Terminal Emulator 4. Type "su" (excluding quotation marks) and grant it superuser permission 5. Type "am start com.redbend.vdmc/com.htc.omadm.test.TestMainActivity" (excluding quotation marks) 6. You will get menu on your HTC 7. In that menu, select "API", then scroll down 'till almost end and select "simlock" 8. Reboot the phone and hopefully it would accept GSM SIM 9. Enter *#*#4636#*#* in your dialer 10.In the phone information section(the first one) set preferred network type to something that is GSM specific: "WCDMA Preferred", for example. Although, when initially manufactured, smartphones are designed to work with a particular type of SIM, the narrow things down by locking devices down to their particular network. The process of trying to unlock can be difficult indeed, and as such, consumers look to the expert developers and modders to offer a solution. Picture the scene. You upgrade your device on one carrier, let’s call them, for argument’s sake, AB&B, but your daughter – who is far more technologically-orientated than yourself, wants your shiny new device, to which you begrudgingly oblige. Unfortunately, your daughter is contracted with another carrier – Dash – and of course, you both want the to work with her carrier. Herein lies the problem. You call up AB&B, requesting they unlock your device. You’re contracted to make the payments anyhow, so you would think, perhaps, AB&B would happily unlock your device – even if a small fee is incurred. Unfortunately, that’s not how things play out, and although some carriers and circumstances allow a carrier unlock to be achieved, chances are, you’re going to be stuck with a locked device, which then becomes the clichéd expensive doorstop. The developers, without whom, I don’t know how we’d cope, come up with varied unlock solutions, and although a wait is often involved, there’s invariably light at the end of the tunnel. For those rocking an i9300 strain of the Samsung you’re among the luckier folk who can now unlock their device, and the clincher is, it gets as complicated as installing an .apk file from the Google Play Store. As you may expect, you will need to have a rooted device, and although precious date is backed up prior to the unlocking procedure, the auto-restore feature is not yet fully operational, thus the unlock solution is labeled as a beta at present. Still, it works just nicely, and if you’re rooted and raring to go, hit up the link below and you’ll have your i9300 Galaxy S III unlocked in a matter of moments. Note: Do not install on variations of the S III other than the I9300 model. It will not work. Download Voodoo Galaxy S III SIM Unlock [Google Play link]
