Ppc 6700 With Netgear Wgr614 V4

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've recently procured Verizon PPC-6700. The handset works fine with Reliance CDMA network, but I am not able to connect it to my office wi-fi.

We've NetGear WGR614 v4 Wireless Router cum Access Point. It is set with following options:

Security: WEP

Authentication Type: Shared Key

Encryption Strength: 128-bit

Other laptops in the network are easily able to connect to this Access Point. While my PPC-6700 can not associate itself. When I attempt to connect: it uses "tiacxwln Compatible Wireless Ethernet" Network Adapter but does not reflect the IP address that i have set (192.168.1.* series). It simply reflects the Primary & Secondary DNS that I have set on this adapter but IP address & Default Gateway remains blank. I've tried changing several options in Access Point but to no avail.

Also when I connect my handset for ActiveSync using a wire, it assigns IP of 169.254.2.1 series, which is also puzzling.

Can somebody please help?

activesync connects to computer as private network. Also check settings in your network rules.

Verizon Block Wifi when Phone is on so users tries to download every thing from there paid Network.

to over come this Just Add the Following in in Registry using Resco Registry Editor

also make Access Point of WPA-PSK Secured (Required to Connect Windows Vista FIle Sharing into Wireless Network)

Remeber by ROM AKU 3.5.4.F is already Configured to use Wifi and Phone simaltaniously

Also keep in mind that Access Point should also act as DHCP Server and should Server Perfect IP and Defaul Gateway to WiFi Client or else you have to manually COnfigure IP into PPC6700 after Connecting

-----------------------------------------------------

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\WirelessMgr]

"MutexFlag"=dword:00000000

Or else Attached is the .reg file into .RAR just import it using Resco Registry Editor

Wifi_n_Phone.rar
