coolrajiv 1 Report post Posted August 25, 2007 Source - http://www.techtree.com/India/News/Motorol...-82950-615.html Motorola has unveiled the RAZR 2 in the Indian market, which features CrystalTalk technology, up to 2GB of on-board memory, and fast menu navigation among other things. Motorola claims the RAZR 2 shaves at least two millimeters off of the original RAZR, making it a sleek- and slim- looking phone. Sporting a seamless casing, soft touch back, and vacuum metal front, the flip phone (cast aluminium hinge) has at it's core a stainless steel frame for enhanced strength. The 2.0-inches external screen is for readable texts and crisp picture caller IDs, while the internal screen is about 2.2-inches. Motorola claims the RAZR 2 V8 has a completely redesigned user interface (UI) with customizable main menu. An interesting feature is the ability of the phone to 'talk' to consumers, essentially developed for the visually impaired but convenient for other users as well. To read messages, users don't have to flip open the phone. And, they can reply in the same way with pre-programmed text messages. Besides, the external display incorporates Motorola's 'haptics' technology providing users with a vibrating feedback in response to the tap of their fingers. This, in combination with virtual music keys enables users better control their music. The RAZR 2 incorporates Motorola's CrystalTalk technology, which as the name suggests, adjusts audio in such a way so as to ensure clear calls even in a noisy environment. The handset has a 2.0 mega pixels camera with a multi-shot feature to help users automatically click up to 8 new pictures, of which they can select the best in the series. Significantly, the RAZR 2 runs on Linux/Java, and is armed with a new ARM 11 processor, whose processing speed, Motorola claims, is around 10 times that of the original RAZR. Salient other features of the phone include: high-speed USB 2.0 for faster music transfer, 512MB or 2GB memory, stereo Bluetooth wireless technology, compatibility with Microsoft Windows Media Player 11, full HTML Web browser, Web browsing experience powered by Google mobile search, and built-in email functionality. The RAZR 2 V8 is immediately available at MotoStores across the country, and through participating retailers. While the RAZR 2 V8 512MB Deluxe Pack is available for a best buy price of Rs 18,999 (MRP Rs 20,428), the 2GB Premium Pack with in-box Bluetooth S705 is available for a best buy price of Rs 19,999 (MRP Rs 21,549).
