My friend just got his smasung hero nxt(got it unlocked frst) to work with garuda ............... with mtnl providing garuda sim now a days u cud use it on any unlocked fone.

Yes, I think you can, program it for MTNL Channels / SID/ NID etc and then get activated on it.
