Run Hyperterminal (Available with ur Windows OS)

Open a new connection to the port where your Phone is connected

Select Transfer Rate as 115200

then connect

Type AT$QCDMG in the terminal window

Now quit Hyperterminal

Run UniCDMA

Select LG from the list

and click Read All

Ashok,

This is what I did....

1. I opened Hyperterminal

2. Opened a new connection to com3 (thats where I have connected the phone)

3. Typed AT$QCDMA and pressed <enter>

4. Close Hyper Terminal

5. Opened uniCDMA selected the phone to LG

6. In setup, set port as com3 and baudrate at 115200

7. Pressed Monitor on

8. Pressed Read All.

Nothing happened..... have missed something? I am using 'uniCDMA by 666'.

Well firstly

It is AT$QCDMG not AT$QCDMA

Secondly tha baudrate in UniCDMA should be 38400 not 115200

Best Of Luck!

Sometimes UniCDMA may fail to get the phone in DM mode,

It isnt the right soft for LG 2030..

So instead of getting into retries, just do that stuff manually by sending

this command using Hyperterminal

As an alternative u could also do this in the future. open bitpim refresh the directory structure once or twice until u see it. now close bitpim.and open uniCDMA and voila!!!!!!! it will work.

Bitpim also has the same problem..

This same stuff can be done in Bitpim..

First do the stuff in hyperterminal

and then run Bitpim and click "/" for the file structure

You will get that in the first click..

Nilesh I have mailed the software to you....

Bored....

Jayant had developed a CDMA_Detect software which will detect your cell and display the battery level etc....It was a good beginning.. But, It was dropped somewhere along the line..... :D

Thanxs

1 more thing i need to ask.

i was able to access my GTRAN GCP 4020 memory through bitpim-0.7.13

but was not able to access ringtones/wallpaper etc through linux.

Does ne1 know linux software/utility or if ne1 can provide me some insight of CDMA programming , i will make it :D

nil,

I guess the bitpim cannot be used used to upload ringtones and wallpapers directly.... instead we will have to use directory structure for that...

thats the case with lg2030.... but not sure with your handset.... guess one of the more techies would be able to help you out here... :D

hey NIL its nice to hear that you have tried BITPIM with GTRAN :quest:

Pal tones and wallpapers can be directly downloaded on a GTRAN phone through PC SYNC s/w and a cable. ITs a customisable phone.

Yes if you'r really interested then try finding if new java games can be programmed into GTRAN using BITPIM or other CDMA s/w . I say this because only games cannot be customised in a GTRAN. And also, RWORLD doesnt hold much games for gtran, only a TIC TAC TOE

If any way is found to add / replace the current games in GTRAN with other JAVA games like PRince of persia, splinter cell etc, then it will be gr8 ! Since GTRAN supports java, I think this may be possible.
