http://hptrade.com/doanload/hpsms-server

Total Command Length Size = 300 Character

Mobile Number Length = 10

Other Connamand = 5 Characters

Total = 10 + 5 + 135 (SMS) = 150

As Unicode take 2 Character to Reperesent one Character emans 150 Character in ASCII = 300 Character in Unicode

Message Above 135 Character can be Sent if the Size of Number Reduced like Number is 1234 But rarly we send any thing to 1234

Nokia had mad the MSM (Mobile Station Modem) which takes Maximum 300 Character Command from USB

In GSM SMS is Sent using 7 bit ASCII so we can push 160 Full length in it.

Hi Drali2,

I want to answer your questions.

1. You can use Bluetooth with SMSCaster by setting up a Bluetooth serial port.

2. Though Nokia cdma phones cannot send 160 characters, recently we develop support for Huawei EC321 and EC325, which can send 160 characters. And it sends much faster (3600 sms per hour!)

3. There's no long sms exists in the CDMA network. However, we implemented a long sms splitting algorithm to break a long one into pieces at the best place.

4. Flash sms does not existing in the CDMA network also. We can do nothing about that.

Thanks

Hi,

Huawei EC321 and EC325 are available at Reliance and Tata.

At Reliance, they are called "Netconnect card" and "Netconnect USB modem". See http://www.reliancecommunications.co.in/Co...ect_hotnew.html

At Tata, they are called VCard and Plug2Surf, see http://www.tataindicom.com/t-personal-inte...f-features.aspx

We are going to support more CDMA modems.

Regards,

Simon Wong

Hi drali2,

The latest version is 3.2 which already has long sms support. Since the cdma network and cdma phone do not have long sms, we have to cut it into several pieces, add index to them like 1/2, 2/2 and send them separately.

If you are within the license period, you can download it and upgrade to it for free. Otherwise, you can still install and try it.

Simon Wong
