Sadikk 301 Report post Posted September 18, 2007 Seems TATA is Winning race Against Reliance in CDMA and Mr. Anil Ambani and Mr. Shukla are still Sleeping in Bed. Actually they concentrating on making some big bucks by manufacturing handsets now. So they not launching any new device now. I heard they in talk with HTC also for some patents already own by them. They are going NTTDoCoMo way now. Hope they launch out-of-box SE CDMA phones with music edition, they can lead the way if such move taken by them. But i am sure they will be making cheap classics with world class features as Digital FM radio and Hi-tech Rworld. lol
kshah 452 Report post Posted September 19, 2007 Comparision of NTT DOCOMO with reliance or reliance thinking NTT DOCOMO way and implemanting NTT DOCOMO way is injustice to NTT DOCOMO. There can not be comparision between creator and immetators. If they talk about DOCOMO way than charging 10paise per KB is stupid. Also one need EVDO handset to enjoy always ON nternet. Globally people do not charge for dormancy, in India reliance and tata both charge for dormancy. With classics one can not be NTT DOCOMO. It must not be samsung black jack, lookalike MOTO Q

Reliance Comm is Sleeping & Tata Indicom is surging ahead I am sure reliance is waiting for GSM, they will target CDMA to compete operators for low end consumenrs, because CDMA costs are cheaper and they can afford lower ARPU, GSM will target high end customers with better call charges as they will be using common infrastructure. Good handset from reliance on CDMA seems to be unnecessary now. As Protability of numbers and licencing is opeining. Tata if do not switch over to GSM will remain marginal operator. Perhaps.
