Bu the way price of this phone is now reduced to 501/- sim card and life time activation Rs. 299/- total charges Rs. 800/-, but better optio is to spend 500 bucks more and buy the LG 3000 . Windows or any other OS has nothing to do with the Charging as USB provide 5Volts 500 mA and you get your handset Charged. You may do one thing..Cut your Data Cable and disconnect or cut two cables which are for RX TX other two are + and - which will help you only to charge. So that OS wont detect your phone.
