drchandra 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2007 I have just bought the latest Dell XPS M 1330 laptop, which does not have a PCMCIA slot but an Express card slot. Earlier I was having a PCMCIA based R Connect card. Please guide me :- 1/ How to use rCOnnect card with my new laptop with express card slot 2/ If there is no other option but to switch to USB based rconnect option, then would reliance exchange my PCMCIA based R Connect card with the USB based option

drchandra 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2007 reliance wont exchange . you can buy the new usb card and sell your old pcmcia card to them in second hand price . As I was reading this forum, this express card query was being discuused for more than one year now, when is Reliance going to launch Express card devices. As now majority of new laptops would only carry the Express card slot. No the PCMCIA one.

Honest 836 Report post Posted October 7, 2007 ^^^ @drchandra My dear friend, Reliance won't exchange your card directly. But you can ask your local dealer or Web World Express for the same. Regards.

Why can't we pressurise Reliance, into launching an Express card version, as all the new laptops would now feature this standard, instead of PCMCIA .

Honest 836 Report post Posted October 8, 2007 Why can't we pressurise Reliance, into launching an Express card version, as all the new laptops would now feature this standard, instead of PCMCIA . @drchandra Obviously my dear friend, why not. We can pressurise Reliance into launching an Express card version. But it will take time. Don't forget to submit your feedback to the customer care guy about this requirement. They will happily note down your feedback every time you ask them to. And many a times you receive suggestion calls from Reliance, you can ask them also. We can send mails to their R&D department also. In all, we need to take the first step and the rest will be done surely. But again I say it can time time. May be a year or so. Regards.
