Himanshu Singh 19 Report post Posted October 15, 2007 (edited) Dude I can tell you one of the reasons why it has happened. Sometimes when you call customer care and argue with them the executives put in some requests on their own just to cause financial loss to you. It might be that you had an argument with anyone of them during previous days and he put in requests. Actually I had faced a similar problem with Idea in Delhi.I had an argument with an idiot from Idea and he put in requests for caller tunes. gprs rental plans and other things which he could. I mailed them and complained to them when I discovered what had happened.I explained the same thing in the mail that I had an argument with a executive and he put in all those requests.Within 24 hours I got an email from them and they apologised to me and refunded my money back which was something like Rs. 50. So I suggest that you write an email to serviceassurancecell@relianceada.com and explian to them the whole thing. KumaarShah 143 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 ^^^ I agree with the above but what happens when one has not contacted CC at all? Anyway email to them and maybe you will get a full refund and also extract something extra from them. Don't leave them as it is. @sachinrocks, One more thing - all our conversations with CC are recorded for internal quality training purposes etc. This is what many IVRs drawl out when you ask to be connected to a CSE. I am not sure how long they keep this on their records. How many such conversations can be seriously recorded? All this is debatable. Can we ask them to give us the transcripts of our conversations with CC in cases of disputes like the one above? Or can they refuse to give it to us? How else can we prove our positions? If at all we go to courts, can we ask for these transcripts?
Himanshu Singh 19 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 @kumar, Well I am not sure that all such conversations are recorderd for any purpose leave alone training purposes. But once the matter goes to the court the onus is on the company to prove that you have given such requests. How they do it in the courts is their headache!!! Also I must admit that what I posted earlier here might not be true in every case. At times someone from your family might have by mistake put in some requests through sms. There could be variety of reasons. I would like to mention some check points I always keep in mind: 1. when you give any request ask for the complaint/reference/communication id number. 2. if a service has been activated without any requests call the cc and make them lodge a complaint, if they refuse mail to the company and pay a visit to their outlet and threaten to terminate the connection if its a postpaid number. 3.always save the confirmation sms which you receive when a complaint has been registered or something else has been confirmed as for example when you change your tariff plans or when you deactivate any add on packs. 4.if the service has been activated without requests mail to the compnay demanding the deactivation of the service and threatening with termination of the connection. I must admit that these ploys are nothing as compared to the ploys whihc these companies are using to make money but I have been doing it successfully since i owned a mobile. And friends I am happy to say that no matter how many times i have been wrongly billed by reliance in postpaid i have got my money back. Also Idea had refunded me Rs.225 in prepaid when they had wrongly charged me Rs.115 for gprs rentals on a single day all thanks to **** tricks.
rajeshkatiyar 3 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 Dear Friend If you use value added sevices of Reliance these things are bound to happen . It is a money making affair and everything is fair in it
Honest 836 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 Anyway email to them and maybe you will get a full refund and also extract something extra from them. Don't leave them as it is. @KumaarShah I 100% agree with you my dear friend. He must extract something extra from them for unnecessary harassment. And ofcourse, all these calls are recorded from their side. These recorded transcripts can be available with them for nearly 6months to 12 months. Many times I had made complaints to Vodafone and Reliance for matters which were nearly 4-5 months old and they still knows what conversation was made between me and CC people on that particular day. That means they must maintain the records of these conversations for upto 1 year or may be much more than that. Now a days Vodafone and Airtel people has started informing their customers that their calls can be recorded for the training purpose. But all these calls are being recorded from early days. Regards. @v@nit 3 Report post Posted October 17, 2007 (edited) One fine day a stupid person from reliance called on my cell for sachin nazara pack and I declined, then he started argument that he has to reach his target, what is the value of Rs.100 even then I told no, but that stupid still activated service. Nothing happened even after complain, they are asking dial 1234 and deactivate the service and there was no option to deactivate, only activate and exit option was there. Finally I ended paying for this. Again this time without any call only I got a SMS saying Dan Danadan pack has been activated and again I called CC they told go to 1234 and deactivate the service and again there was no option to deactivate. Finally I went web world there I know one cc person and requested to deactivate the service, that person logged a complain and gave me complain number then that got deactivated. Honest 836 Report post Posted October 17, 2007 They don't record but type all important things in conversation. They have got given matrix in which they fill up the data. @rbdhoot My dear friend, it is 100% confirmed that all calls which we make to CC are being recorded. Although they have to type in some important things which we discussed with them, so that they must not need to hear all recorded conversations again and again. Just ask to any CC guy and they themselves will tell you that the call is being recorded. Finally I ended paying for this @abc2005 My dear friend, why didn't you filed the complaint with CC people. If I was in your place than not only I took the waiver of this amount but should had extracted some extra benefits from them for unnecessary harassment. You can still file the complaint and get the waiver. So take the first step right now. Don't allow these operators to take you granted. Regards.
