Honest 836 Report post Posted October 17, 2007 (edited) ^^^ My dear friend, you can check all the technical specifications for these handsets at their website and go for the handset whichever suits your requirement. But at the same time I doubt that these handsets are compatible for expandable memory support upto 4gb. Check-in the details before you buy. Regards. ani_meher 42 Report post Posted October 18, 2007 When I discussed abt music phones with my friends that own them (Nokia and SE), they were against it. They said if u fill up the card, then the phone gets slow. Also, the battery life is hampered. They recommended to buy handset n mp3 player seperately. Not advising you to do so, just letting u know the different views.
ashoksoft 83 Report post Posted October 18, 2007 being honest ... I've tried to use various handsets ... N95 sure rocks ... but I just sold it yesterday .. took a HTC P3300 .. awsome GPS. Getting back to the question ... opt in for a SE handset if Music is the concern ... somehow ... SE algorithms match with the best when it comes to decoding music .. and well .. the logic of the handset design is better ... for eg. when u remove a wired headset from a Sony handset while listening to music - it will confirm from u if the music is to be routed to the loudspeaker or not ... it does not just blare the music out loud that is one of the concerns nokia has been consistently missing out on ... other additional options like control of bass (proper) is something which SE leads by a HUGE margin ! cheers karki

ani_meher 42 Report post Posted November 12, 2007 If you are set on Nokia, then good. But I'd advise you against it. I personally have seen one incidence in their SC. A person with some high end model (forgot the number) was literally begging the receptionist to meet the manager, and she kept on putting her back on him, and mentioning that the manager is very busy. Atleast by their conversation, it seemed Nokia has had his phone for last quite many days, and without any satisfactory reason. If you are still insisting on nokia, sure do so, but keep in mind that nokia SC is nowhere sufficient to handle all the mobiles in Mumbai. Atleast service wise, moto/SE will be better choice. That being said, N6233 is supposed to be a legendary handset in its class.
Honest 836 Report post Posted November 14, 2007 ^^^ Yes my dear Ani_Meher you are correct. Nokia is going nuts now a days. Moto/SE/LG rocks. Especially the after sales service of LG is very good. I'm quite satisfied with LG. Regards.

Especially the after sales service of LG is very good. I'm quite satisfied with LG. Regards. Dear Friends, I was a reliance user since 3 yrs. finally i decided to change. I have purchased a new GSM handset, NOKIA 3500 Classic and VODAFONE postpaid connection(444 plan). The new set 3500 is really a nice set. With 2.0 MP camera, FM and great Music player this phone is really True value of money. If You are going for a new handset then try for this. One more feature which impressed me is the SLIMNESS of phone. Although the screen is not big enough and also not having good resolution but the pictures are good. If somebody need some more info about 3500 then he is welcome. Edited November 22, 2007 by akshmail

I have not so worst experiance of nokia may be because O am using cheap hndset but to change body of 6155 they took abt 25 days and they do not have BL-6c bat in stock, if ordered wll tke 15 days. I had to seat in queue for 45 mins to give handset for repair and 25 mins to get back. Even behavour of ASC or reseller is not upto the mark. Their call center is better than others ofcourse I saw Sony E and bought k750i, for my father I must say they make better handsets than nokias. Even Moto KRZR CDMA bought for my partner is far better than Nokia 6265 0r 6275. Till now I had been admirer of nokia not fan. But now I dont even admire. Can I go in for SE/Moto? Does the sis apps work on a SE/Moto? Or do we get alternate apps which can work on SE/Moto? TIA.
Ramchi 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2007 I have used Nokia phones. They are expensive but loose its resale even before you walk out of the room because of poor quality, cheap plastic look, unstable OS etc…Generally, they are very good in terms of features especially higher end models. I have E61 which has been functioning fairly for the past 1 ½ years without trouble. This piece has no Cameras, may be because of that!!! The desktop software packages bundled with Nokia smart phones are generally superior to other phones. Support takes lots and lots of time to resolve issues. As far as SE phones are concerned, I have used 3 phones, Z600 (rock solid performance for 3 years – literally abused – no issues), P990i (high feature list but relatively unstable), P1i (So far so good for 4 months). In Metros SE support works very efficiently in resolving issues (may be because they have lesser issues). Not sure about support experiences from smaller towns. Reasonable re-sale value. Not so good desktop software packages bundled. Motorola sets are generally good but my experience is very limited. Recently, my father owned a second hand Moto Razr old version. I need to check its performance. Not sure about support, software & its resale value. Motorola phones themselves are moving towards Linux based opensource options. So you may find lots of third-party software available.

kshah 452 Report post Posted November 24, 2007 It seems simbian phones are better in SE than Nokia. I did little research before 3-4 months to buy GSM. I found SE better than Nokias in symbian. P990i is simply superb. Now they have come out with p1i and without can there was one model forgot model number was superb.
