jessops 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2007 I think RIMWeb needs to write as an Association (the moderator or owner may please take the initiative) to Nokia and tell them that the handsets that they market in India for use on CDMA networks is atrocious.. plus the time between new launches is way too long! Surely the logic of people moving to new and advanced handsets will make sense in the CDMA market too... they've got barely 5 models and for the large number of RIM users, thats way too few! There is no denying that Nokia handsets are the best but Reliance is now hell-bent on marketing its own silly brand of Shenzen-made and Reliance-branded Classic set of phones. So much that, and you will have a hard time believing this), a humongous Reliance WebWorld outlet in Vile Parle (on 1st Road) had no handsets except for Classic to offer.. not even the regular Nokia or LG or Motorola phones available - they have started selling only Classic. Sheesh!

amtrag 20 Report post Posted November 15, 2007 (edited) Nokia, just like any normal company, exists to earn profits...or as they say in management jargon: "to create shareholder value". Hence, the only way to convince them is to show & prove that it would be profitable (...financially viable is the right word) for them to manufacture good quality CDMA handsets. If it makes good business sense, then it's YES else NO. Edited November 15, 2007 by amtrag
