KumaarShah 143 Report post Posted December 18, 2007 No use to Chennai/TN customers who get 5000 free local SMSs to any number for Rs 30. Nowadays, RCOM is giving the added specification of SMS's to mobiles only, which means that SMSs to LLs/FWPs will still be chargeable at normal rates. Looks like RCOM has now ganged up with Vodafone on this issue. After all, all are brothers only.
Honest 836 Report post Posted December 18, 2007 ^^^ @KumaarShah You are right my dear friend. The free SMS's from Rcom are for mobile to mobile only. They charge the regular sms rates if the sms is sent to any landline number. And these micro sms packs seems to be very costly. Still it can be beneficial for those who use to send sms's to a limited number of peope. Regards.

sougatadc 358 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 any micro sms pack for postpaid user ? What do you mean by `Micro SMS Pack'? Tata indicom offers various sms packs ranging from Rs 25 to Rs 50 for postpaid. The Rs.50 pack is the most attractive one. With this monthly charge, one can send 3000 P2P sms both LOCAL and NATIONAL, ANY NETWORK! Considering an sms to compose and send taking around a minute, to exhaust the 3000 sms balance one will have to spend 100 minutes a day. Reading the replies will add more. Who are not using PocketPC, composing sms in that large numbers by repeated tapping of keys will definitely cause Carpal Tunnel syndrome. Regards.
