Saurav 22 Report post Posted June 26, 2004 We all use internet so we must find out the cheapest service provider. We should keep our discussion limited to charges charged by BSNL, Reliance & MTNL. For night usage of 1hr I have made following calculations: RIM costs = 0.4*60 =24 + 200 monthly FWT/ FWP = 1.1*6 = 6.6 + 6(ISP) =12.6 BSNL = 1*6= 6 (Internet package costs Rs250 validity 1 year night access after 11PM free) BSNL also offers a separate line at Rs 399/- per month with unlimited usage. So which connection is cheap? Reliance should remove the RCONNECT subscription charges. It should also introduce FWP plans for subscribers whose bimonthly bills accounts to about 700 including taxes and all other charges.
Utsav 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2004 I've got VSNL-TataIndicom which offers free surfing at night from 11pm to 8am. BSNL charges 1.24/call and between 10:30pm and 6:30am the pulse rate for 172xxx calls are 10mins/call. So, from 11pm to 6:30am, VSNL as ISP costs "0" while BSNL charges 1.24*6=7.44 and thats cheapest.
