Speaker Volume And Font Size On Nokia 6275

Recommended Posts

hi people

this is my first review on rim forum. have purchased a nokia6275 recently.

in short it is a very good phone on all aspects. some issues that i have realised are:

the working thru menus is rather complicated and not so user friendly as older nokia phones

the font size on the screen for default info is very small and thin

the speaker volume is rather low and i cud not figure out a way to change the same

the battery is not fantastic despite being a bl-6c and will last a max of 40 hrs even with 15-20 min talk time

the camera is simply fantastic and the screen resolution is outstanding.

will request guidance form fellow members on points 2&3 cited above.

Yes, you have correctly pointed out that the font size is very small. This is mainly because the display resolution is very high. Also for no reason the ear piece volume is low which you cannot do anything about. Also another annoying point is its vibration is less compared to other NOKIA models.

Its battery consumption is much more compared to 6255 which also uses the same battery. Here also you are helpless. But don't compare with NOKIA's GSM siblings. GSM handsets consume much less power. The handset does get hot when you talk for some time on CDMA sets. This drains power.

But I do not agree with you on the count that this phoe has complicated and non-friendly menus.

Another drawback is its small keys. You cannot type with ease.

Anyways, this is a great phone with lots of goodies like memory expandability to 2GB, 2MP camera, good FM etc.

Regards...

hi all

was able to figure out a way for increasing volume. press the +/- key on the side of the fone while the call is in progress. repeat this for the three cases

1-while call is on handset

2-while call is on loudspeaker and

3-while call is on handsfree

u can set volume on scale of 1to10. and yes there is no way to increase fontsize and batry consumption is very high. wont last more than 2 days at ~35-40 min talktime. donot go in for this if betry is a BIG concern. otherwise an excellet fone.

Hello friends,

I am Aniket from Pune...

Recently purchased Nokia cdma 6275...

Its graphics and camera clarity are outstanding.

I also agree with the point that it consumes more power as compared to 6255...

It becomes hot especially when you are at the end point of your battery usage...( I found while playing games.. and my battery was too low...

Is there any other option for improve battery performance??? :confuse:

I have downloaded Opera 4.0 and its working very smoothly and fast...( as compared to Airtel GPRS )

Its overall performance is good...

Please tell me from where I can upgrade the Nokia Software in my handset?

But I found it very easy and user friendly while typing SMS...

Do you know any compression software for mp3 and jpg files???

Nice to share some thoughts with you...

Have a nice time.

Regards.

U can use HS 23 or HS 28 for better volume and clear bass sound

U can also increase headset volume (by double) by attaching 2.5mm pin to secondary jack
