ssr 10 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 (edited) Is it as stable ,reliable and economical as reliance netconnect?. and what is the avarage data speed? Edited January 12, 2008 by ss_rakesh
Honest 836 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 ^^^ @rakesh My dear friend the news for both Airtel and Vodafone mobile office service is quite good. Infact I too using Vodafone Mobile Connect and the speed is magnificent. Actually it mainly depends on the handset which you are using to connect. Normally it allows data speeds from 8 to 15 kilobytes. Regards.
ssr 10 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 I heard that the speed also depends on Tower capacity or number of ppl using the data at a time, is it correct?
kshah 452 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 Also speed depends on area you are into. I have tried GSM data on airtel and hutch, but in cities you get acceptable speed but when you go to rural or remote areas, speed su**s. At time you may not get data services as well. In reliance it is uniform all over. GSM is much cheaper than CDMA and in GSM you get superb handsets.
ssr 10 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 (edited) How about 3G/HSDPA, same problem? Edited January 13, 2008 by ss_rakesh
prabakar 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 I am using Airtel prepaid card for browsing. One week pack is available for Rs 75 and One month is Rs 375. It is cheap compared to Reliance & Tata. Vodafone & Bsnl charge per KB. Moreover the Airtel card is activated in home town and can be browsed in ROAMING also download unlimited ( Reliance and Tata are unknown to me ) so Airtel is best compared to other network. manishag 17 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 I have used the Airtel DataCard speed. During day time when i need to use it i was getting very poor speed and if my account has 1 mb msg then forget aout downloading it on pop3 client. The speed really s**ks even in the Airtel main office and on Ring Road from Punjabi bagh to Sfadarjung forget that it'll connect. where as in Chandigarh it was working quite good even it downloaded 800mb in one night. it s**ks in many areas of UP and haryana too. I used Relaince data Card too and I got very good speed in Delhi and UP but in Chandigarh and haryana it was very unreliable.
@v@nit 3 Report post Posted January 14, 2008 ^^^ I am using both AirTel Mobile Office and Reliance Net connect. In Reliance Net connect, I always get reliable and fast download speed, but its expensive. While AirTel Mobile Office is cheap, but quality is also cheap. Very less download speed in busy hours, something in bytes only forget Kbytes and frequent download failures. Yes if you are willing to pay less and use this service then you can try in midnight say 1:00 AM to Morning 6:00 AM, then you will get 2 - 4 Kbps download speed.
