city02 63 Report post Posted June 30, 2004 The Central Labour Institute (CLI), Ministry of Labour, Government of India, the apex advisory body on Occupational Safety, Health and Environment has commended Reliance Infocomm (Network O&M Division) for ensuring excellent Safety Management System for its Telecom Network facilities across India.CLI recently awarded the prestigious certificate to this effect to Infocomm. Eleven Safety Management Systems and eleven technical aspects of Network Safety Management System of Reliance Infocomm were extensively and critically evaluated as per Safety Standard IS-14489: 1998 during May 2004. In all, the auditors of CLI investigated 40 sites in twelve circles across India. The Network O&M Division of Reliance Infocomm has taken the initiative to set up the highest Health, Safety and Environment standards in all its operations. The safety audit by external auditors reaffirms the robust health of the Safety Management System of Infocomm. A team comprising members from ISP, OSP, CDMA, FA and Security from each circle and from the NHQ were intensely involved in the audit process to make this achievement possible.
