kesav 127 Report post Posted January 17, 2008 TRAI appoints Independent Agencies for undertaking (1) survey for (a)assessing implementation and effectiveness of the ‘Telecom Consumers Protection and Redressal of Grievances Regulations, 2007' (b)Customer Perception of Service (2) Audit and Assessment of Quality of Service of Basic, Cellular Mobile and Broadband Service Providers http://www.trai.gov.in/trai/upload/PressRe...r15jan08no7.pdf I request TRAI to publish it in all major news daily so that consumers are better prepared. Dear Consumers, 1) Be aware of the name of the agencies in your zone 2) Be patient in answering calls of these agencies if you become part of the sample. Its for your and Nation's benefit. 3) Be prepared with the grievance list and wish list so that this survey attains grand success

Ramchi 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2008 My list as follows: 1. Very expensive Data plans 2. Disparities within the country/market/region in terms of Call rates and packages offered - Certain areas like TN are over charged with their data plans. 3. Do we really need the concept of roaming - unless the country is expected to be split in the near future! Entire charges associated with roaming is really unacceptable. The same network charges the customer when you cross the boundary just for the heck of it. 4. Since Indian providers do not subsidize handsets (unlike Western countries), the call rates must be really cheaper in terms of affordabilty for the normal people. 5. Number portability - Top Priority 6. Keep changing tarrif frequently and blackmailing the customer 7. For Postpaid connections - Airtel did not close my connection but kept sending fake bills even after taking my SIM card away! This way they cheat Insurance companies and claim these amount as bad debts (as though Customers failed to pay their bills). They make lots of money in this process. 8. Reliance Customer Care - Pathetic to say least. No response, arrogant and totally substandard. They should not be actually in the market with this attitude but strangely they make lots of money!
