Utsav 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2004 I believe RIMWeb users must be having friends and relatives with GSM subscriptions. So why don't we have a GSM section as a part of this site?
Arun 795 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Well, no such plans for now. I guess GSM is discussed at www.blanksms.com forums
deepu 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 Rimweb.com has to link to www.blanksms.com forums and they have a link back to RIMWEB.. I think thats all thats needed as of now
Arun 795 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 RIMweb.com is already linked to BlankSMS.com You can find the link in the main page of RIMweb.com forum (shortcut under General Chat forum heading) and also in the General Chat forum, with the title: "GSM Phones/Networks"
linuxguy 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 It would be cool if we had our own GSM forum. I got fed up of Reliance and am using Trump and quite satisfied with it. So basically I am a GSM user and an ex-RIM user. I still have the RIM phone but my mother uses it now.
Utsav 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 I'm with Linuxguy. Many of us use GSM handsets. So why not a thread right here? It is difficult to register for a new site again
Chirag 5 Report post Posted November 14, 2004 I'm with Linuxguy. Many of us use GSM handsets. So why not a thread right here? It is difficult to register for a new site again 18971[/snapback] registering for a new site or anything is not a big deal.Whats important to understand is the scope of a new section. We were just thinking of a GSM Section, when we hit upon Blanksms.com Forums. I personally found it very good to associate with a GSM Discussion Board for RIMweb.com And thts how we got the two linked. According to me, Its pointless running a parallel forum for the same thing when 1 exists well enuf. Thts the reason, we asked Blanksms.com to switch its Reliance section off and link it to our forum. They were kind enuf to do that! GSM, unlike RIM is quite wide and deep in scope. And i feel, users of RIMweb.com can easily browse Blanksms.com and post their views and help it make a strong discussion board for all GSM devices and Tariffs. As of now, RIMweb.com's aim is to reach out to more n more RIM customers such that all are well-informed abt RIM. We are here to share our experiences and Grievances abt its services and get our way out of them! Rel Infocomm has loads of things planned ahead. And as of now, we want to restrict the scope of RIMweb to it. FLP and NETWAY are two big ventures in the pipe. We'll surely see a whole lot of people talking abt it as soon as it gets widely available!
