StaticElectricity 8 Report post Posted July 4, 2004 hi guysi want to know what will happen if i add more than 3 rt using bitpim in my LG-RD2030 because it allows only 3 rt and i want to add more than it did anyone check it? please guys tell me? ive lost count of how many times ive answered that question. there's no use in uploading more than 3 ringtones. bcauz although there is space for more than three (i mean in the mildl folder), the phone's operating system does not have a memory slot to load them. it cannot handle more than 3 custom made ringtones. Code 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Yeah - I have already tried with 7130 - it too allows only 3 U can upload - nothing happens but the phone's OS doesn't recognise it. That is because the index of ringtones(not accesible from bitpim) has only 68 (or somethin - i don't remember entries) and anything beyond is not indexed - so not recognised. I really think they should have allowed more - provided a sortinfo kind of file like they did for wallpaers (on 7130) - I have uploaded 8 wallpapers and all are showing up
karpar 1 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 hey guys, does this mean we could add more wallpapers than that provided by reliance? are the extra wallpapers added in the sequential order, ie, icon04.dat, icon05.dat...?
Code 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Hi Bored I think what U R referring is for 2030 only. In 7130 the moment I update the rt it plays the new one. Only the header file content will show up properly after reboot. I think it is loaded in the RAM and to reload from the embedded file system U need to Reboot. There may/should be a refresh command too which we don't know. karpar - I was reffering to 7130 (LG color) wallpapers don't know about 2030 _ I don't think it will show up more than 3 as a friend of mine had said. Utsav 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 (edited) I believe there are only 3 re-Writable memory slots. That's why you can't upload more than three. If you could do that, the maker of the handset would have said it in the specification to ask more price for the same handset. re-writable memory is too expensive to hide. Isn't it Edited July 5, 2004 by turbasu
