Forgot Password On Nokia 6255 Mmc Card

Is there any solution to retive the password or get teh access back to the MMC card on my phone. Now I am not able to access my mmc card. Please help

Only Nokia ASC can help you out. But be prepared to leave your handset with them for 15 - 25 days and still pay a charge also.

Another option would be to use the card on another phone provided the PW is known. But in your case, since you have forgotten the PW itself, I doubt if anything can be done at all. Maybe if the data on the MMC is not of much use, maybe you can format on another phone. Because 6255/65/75 phones do not format properly AFAIK.

I was unsuccessful doing it every which way I could.

Finally I went to Nokia ASC and they told me that the card was incompatible with Nokia and it will not work. I had to buy another card. They will not believe you if you say that you were using the same card on your phone for so long.

Cards are nowadays very cheap, go in for a new one. But take your phone along and check the card's working before you buy it. Try moving files to and fro and some pictures, take some photos directly onto the card memory, etc.

My dear friend, it seems that Nokia service centre is full of fools. This way they are only loosing their reputation in the market.

Go to sara/sahara market near crawford market, buy a MMC card unlocker. Costs about Rs 200. unlock the card. format the card in a normal card reader. this should solve your problem.

One thing I have learnt is that, never format your MMC card in any device as this locks the card to the device ??!!??@@$

Format your card in a card reader. I have found grey coloured, pen type cards to be good. Multicard Readers of tech.com are also good.

Of course, for camera the card has to be formatted in the camera itself.
