americhanac 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2008 Greets all, Just got my Treo 500v few days ago and like all savy new owners I'm scouting net for software. It's a Spain's model. I found a bunch of it for wm6 but in 99% of the time I can't install the software - it fails with the reason "Not intended for this device" or when it does install I get "can't find components". I presume this has something to do with rights to install programs. If anyone has ANY idea on how to actually determine what WM6 supported programs are compatible with WM6 software ( ) or hot to install it I would really appreciate it. Does it have something to do with the fact that it is still locked? Should I somwewhere (and tell me where please!) get ROM imge and reflash it? I am out of my wits here! Thanks. americhanac 0 Report post Posted February 29, 2008 Well I found out - it is a smartphone with WM6 (it has no stylus or touchscreen) - once I figured that out I have no problems anymore. But it+s nice to know that it favors Smarthone software over the WM6 (evethough it IS WM6 powered). I hope someone will find this info usefull.
