R World Problem In 2130

Recommended Posts

i am using Lg moonlight phone. but the real problem is that there are some items that do not work in R-World. it shows

Error

_______________

R World not

ready.

not even a single item under the new arrivals is working. I tried to contact RWW they told me to upgrade the software from the LG service center. After upgrading the software, it shows the

version as

S/W : RD13F10

PRL : 2

JaVa : CLDC-1.0

but still some items are not working n it shows again the above same error.

What i think is that the real problem lies with the cache memory of the phone. coz after upgaring the S/W some of the applications i ran which were showing the error prior to S/W upggrade are perfectly running. but after runing some applications it is now again showing error. what i think is that after the cache is full the doesnt allow to overwrite, and onlythe old applications keeps working. One more thing when i tried to save a song from the 'watch n save' section it shows not enough memory. why is it so even my phonebook has only 68 entries and that was my first song that i m trying to save.

Please guys help me out.

Same problem with 7130 color handset. After upgrading s/w (infact whole board in my case) R-world was fully working. Gradually one after the other newer applications - started to falter. Initially Reset Rmenu and clear memory worked. After some time even these start failing. Now next step is to go to LG service center and have a reburn of R-world to clear all the cache - Initially these people will protest that it has nothing to do wth the phone and may be a network/signal strength prob etc etc. After convincing them once they do it - Voila everything works well for a time - Only to reaccumulate the errors.

I think deleting those jar/jad helps but I am afraid to do that now as I only recently got a new board.

(Reset R-menu after a time will not delete them - I think they are marked old or somethin so that a new version overwrites - but somewhere in the code - I guess there is a bug). Also note that if U exit the apps properly rather than pressing the END button to come out of R-world this problem doesn't occur __ but sometimes if the phone hangs U R forced to do that.

Hi Phonephreak,

I had the same problem after upgrading the software on my RD2130. You may go to any LG service centre and ask them to "REBURN" R World Application. It will take approx. 45 minutes and after that you will not be having any problem with R World. Incase even after ruburning R World Application, visit them again and ask them to do a "Complete Board Swap". Fortunately I did not have to do that as after reburning R World Application my set is working fine. LG sets really s**ks!! But dont worry, users like me with your sorrows particularly with RD2130 :)

Hi PhonePhrek!

Go to Rworld menu in your phone and select "Reset R-Menu" This solves your problem by clearing the cashed content.

And once in a week go to this option in R-World- More services-Tools- "Clear Memory". This will clear any cashed temp files from your mobile.

Hi phonefreak, further to the email contact and the query here, you software version is now upgraded and mine is same now.

I hope you have "reburned" R-world application after software upgrade. And your problem still presist, i recommend you to have a "complete board swap". This was advised to me by reliance when even after i had the same problem you have now after reburning r-world application. But after a day my problem sorted out itself and now R-world working quite fine. Pls make sure that your area have a adequate signal strength. never believe the signal strength shown on your handset. LG sets have a bad problem on this matter. it shows full signal where it is equal to nill most of the time. Try dialing some toll free numbers as *333 to find out the signal strength. if the voice is breaking it means there is not enough signal at your area. in that case your r world will also not work properly.

I am using reliance phone for 1 1/2 years now and this is my second handset. LG handset performance is pathetic. Samsung is the best for long and rough use. But its diplay s**ks! so we are not suppose to be satisfied in all ways with reliance service.
