Reliance Netconnect On Asus Eeepc Via Nokia 6275 Usb Mode

Recommended Posts

Got Asus EEEPC today. Tried to connect Netconnect via Nokia 6275 via USB. Working.

Speeds are also good.

Finally I got eeepc after a long wait. Tried to connect EEEPC to Reliance network using Nokia 6275 CDMA phone. Its working fine. Steps for connection are also very simple.I really liked eeePc after this connection, since i can use this one to check mails and browse the net all over india.(since reliance has very descent coverage) for very minimum cost.

This forum really rocks.I got all idea from this forum only.

Steps for connecting Nokia 6275 via USB cable.

First connect the phone to a USB port and wait for atleast one min.

Then go to Network Connection->Create->DialUpConnection->Nokia-Nokia 6275 /dev/ttyACM0->#777->User Name and password(ur mobile no). After finishing the configuration just connect and it will get connected.

I got speed around 100Kbps.

May be it will work for 6265 and 6255 models too.Not sure.

I am now trying how to connect to 6275 via bluetooth

Will be great if any one can help me in this

i got it for 17500Rs. its very small compared to other laptops. display just 7".Its running on Linux. Not much useful for professionals but good for youth and teen who just need to chat mail browse etc. you can get more reviews from http://wiki.eeeuser.com/reviews/ But i find it very good for my usage while traveling.Less than 1 kg,Nice connectivity thro reliance(I am a DAPO user so that atleast i can finish my free mins). It got openoffice, acrobat reader, wifi ,webcam, and 4 GB flash mem builtin, 3 usb ports.etc..
