Nirvana 4 Report post Posted March 17, 2008 (edited) or convert it to RUIM based just like how ravjeet did it on Utstarcom 6800 (the same steps may not work for this handset though) Edited March 17, 2008 by Nirvana
kshah 452 Report post Posted March 17, 2008 It can not be coverted to RUIM as Palm OS do not support RUIM. But you can do it, there are other ways to do it.

lijodavis 1 Report post Posted March 19, 2008 Palm Centro has launched in india for 13999.But this one is GSM. http://www.palm.com/in/products/smartphones/centro/ Source:- http://www.cellpassion.com/ Palm has launched what it claims to be the smallest smartphone with a QWERTY keypad in India. The Centro, which runs on the Palm OS, is Palm’s lowest priced smartphone and will be available for Rs 13,990 in the Indian market. “With the Centro, we are targeting the first-time smartphone users,” said Olivier Rozay, regional director, Asia Pacific, Palm Australasia Pty Ltd. India’s smartphone market was estimated to be close to 3.7 million units at the end of 2007 and is expected to reach 5.4 million units by the end of 2008.\ The Centro is an entry-level smartphone and provides basic features like quadband GSM connectivity, Bluetooth and a modest 64 MB internal memory. It also has a FaceBook application and Google Maps that have been integrated with the phone’s contact list. However, the low-end 1.3 megapixel camera and absence of Wi-Fi prove to be the weak links. "The combination of keyboard, touch screen and Palm's trademark ease of use makes Centro intuitive and easy to use for staying in touch," said Olivier Rozay, Palm's regional director for Asia Pacific. "Consumers who are thinking about stepping up to a smartphone will find Centro the perfect first choice – it's rich in features but also comes in a small, cool design." With a new compact design, Centro is the smallest and lightest Palm phone to date, comes with Palm OS by ACCESS, and offers all the organizer functionalities that Palm offers. The Centro features a touch screen and full QWERTY keyboard, with key features such as one-touch speakerphone, conference calling and Bluetooth connectivity. Personal email, such as Gmail and Yahoo!, is simple to access right out of the box, while Microsoft Direct Push Technology gives users access to their corporate email. In addition to usual smartphone capabilities, Centro is highly customizable with thousands of applications available. The full keyboard and touch screen provide quick access to online information and allow users to directly feed their personal blogs. Pocket Tunes on Centro lets users "sideload" songs and manage music, audio books and videos easily. Users can also shoot pictures or videos with the built-in digital camera and share them with friends. The Palm Centro smartphone is available now at a recommended retail price of Rs. 13,990 (inclusive of tax) and will be distributed through Brightstar Telecom India Pvt Ltd., the national distributor. Centro will be available in IT retail stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Calcutta, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Pune and Chandigarh.
