AbhinandanShah 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2008 I have been using this amazing handset for last 3 years. And it has never given me any problem. Off late, I have encountered a series of hangs, restarts while speaking or automatic shutdowns, etc. there was no water damage or shock damage of any sorts. I tried changing the battery it wouldnt work. I saw on some forums written that you have to reflow your CPU and flash the phone, and it would start working and that it s a problem with the power IC of the phone. Can anyone tell me a way to rescue my little handset from the above sickness? I really do not want to buy another phone coz I would be in India only for the next 4 months... Regards, Abhi.... Albela 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2009 Facing the same problem iwth my 2112, starts few seconds ...switches off and reboots....sometimes pressing any key causes it to restart... checked with couple of repair shops, they were advising to get it "flashed" from Nokia care... does anyone know if that will solve the problem ? how much do they charge for that ? any other option to do it yourself ? i have the data cable... I'm having a reliance cdma of nokia 2112 now my mobile is getting switched off and wont turn on for hours.If it turns on again and it turns off back.. i had contacted the dealer and he said he has to upgrade the software.... can you help me out this problem ?? The battery is in good working condition. where can i download the firmware or software ? how can i upgrade it ? which cable i have to use for this ? can you please let me know !! thanks in advance !!
